Recovered Futures Art Exhibition
Posted by Howard on 11/10/2019 at 06:03I just attended this exhibition of art in my home city of Brisbane and much of the art reminded me of Mona and Lisa and their art. What do you think?
Blossom Lisa!
Bubbles Mona!

Is this Edvard Munch’s “The Scream” in Van Goth’s “The Starry Night”?Jung Roe replied 4 years, 11 months ago 3 Members · 8 Replies -

For various reasons, this painting reminds me of lovely Lisa! The one and only beautiful Lisa.

I agree Howard, reminds me of Mona and Lisa’s art. I think their art can easily belong in any art exhibition. That last one with the bird reminds me of Lisa’s Bad Hair Day, and that Edvard Monchs like Mona’s Winter Silhouettes.

“Light in the Dark” – photograph on canvas.
“When we are lost, broken and falling to pieces, there is always a light in the dark.”
Count on me, perhaps?

“Release the Stress”.
“Learn to let go, release the stress, you were never in control anyway”!

This style of print reminds me of the cover of the Beatles’ Revolver album.

I also agree! I’m a bit of an art lover, and occasionally paint in oils. There’s some real beauty there!

In the same vein Howard, this one by Mona always amazes me. Such complexity in the sketch, how does one do this, unless they are born with this kind of dexterity to sketch something so detailed by hand.
Midnight Thoughts by Mona. Hand sketch with ink and fountain pen.
