  • Safe and Sound from Tornado Touchdown in my Area yesterday !!

Hi All, just let you all know , I’m safe/sound from Tornado Touchdown that touched down in a neighborhood about 20 mins-30 mins by bus/car away from where I live, a little bit further out this Tornado hit than the big one a few yrs ago that was just down the road from me …. still scary, some severe damage done to the one that occured yesterday …. You can see YouTube footage or Google up CTV News for more images/videos from yesterday and the one that hit from anfew years back …. It’s becoming a little more common non for areas that normally would not have Tornadoes , to now be occurring more often in Canada , especially in my neck of woods …

Hi Jacki, I’m glad you are ok! I live in Alabama and I know how scary tornados can be. We get a round of them at least once or twice a month from February til October. We had as many as 27 in one day in Alabama several years ago, but usually we only have two to ten, on a bad day, in our State. They aren’t all concentrated in one area so it’s not as bad as it sounds. I guess we are just used to them here.

Thanks for checking in, Jax. Glad to hear all is well. We just got a bunch of thunderstorms here. I didn’t get a chance to watch the storms this time, but I recommend for those that have an opportunity to watch the storms to play The Sounds of Silence Duo Session turned up to eleven. You are likely to see lightning strike in perfect time with the music. It can be breathtaking to say the least.

Thankyou All….Yes, it’s scary when you’re not used to them and I’m not keen on Thunstirms either for that reason to….the potential to become Tornadoes, as a kid that was my one fear, now it has come true…. and for yesterday’s and the one from a few tears back hitting somewhat close to my neck of woods literally and in surrounding region of Ottawa… a little too close for my liking….Yes weather patterns are not as they once were, anything goes now, and no matter where …

JP …. the keyboardist from Glass Tiger years ago produced a series of nature CDs with piano mysic, etc and gad a Thunderstorm one …. His name is Sam Reid and the series was called Sanctuary….I’ll Google up link, provide and your idea of SOS MLT during a T-storm sounds cool

I’m a bit upwind of you Jacki, they had tornado watches here. Don’t recall any were sighted.

Glad to hear you’re okay. Take care.

Wow, glad you made out O.K. Jacki! I remember back in 1998 we had one past a block away from my house, it made quite the mess of 2 of my willow trees. It passed right over our firehouse.I had to have those trees taken down.
