Looks like another down month overall. However, we have a brand new champion song as She Loves You has taken over the top spot in views. The newest entry, Look What They’ve Done to My Song, Ma, just missed out on the top 20 at V = 430.

For the last hour of November 5th, In It for Love is at V = 11040 and C = 21.2.

Nice! Thanks, David. Just for fun I watched the original Duo Session of In It For Love and still love it. It has a very live feel to it. The new one is amazing. They keep raising the bar?

David
That’s great to hear about Now and Then. MLTs spontaneous and diligent effort that week to get that video out payed off.
Everybody’s Talkin is also doing great showing 75K views in just 2 days, building on the momentum of Now and Then.

Here are the numbers for November. All data cover the period from November 1st through 30th, except for In It for Love (last eight days) and Now and Then (last four days). Everybody’s Talkin’ is not included because it hasn’t settled down yet, but I’ll be posting daily updates on it.

No real overall trend this month, as some videos are up in viewership and some are down. We do have a new champion for the moment, but Now and Then is still slowly leaking air and probably will be a bit down the list by next month.
-
Thanks for all numbers, or is it figures, David. Funny to see what happens in one month. Is it possible for you to give e.g. at the end of the year the total number of views of (all) the original MTL songs. I sometimes look at the numbers, but no idea if the original with e.g. a total number of views of 450.000 in 9 years, if it is watched 50.000 each year or that due to more MLT songs on YouTube the older videos attract more viewers.
-
I’ll do that, Fred! I was going to compile some end-of-year stats anyway, and I’ll add that to the list.
Generally speaking, a new video gets a lot of views initially and then settles down over a few months to a fairly steady number. So the older the video, the more accurate it is to divide the number of views by the number of years to estimate the current number of views per year.
-
Okay, Fred, here you go: the number of views in 2023 of all the MLT original song videos:
136294 = If You Raise Your Head

Thanks David,
Not sure if you post this below my comment others will see it, I think more people are interested.
I think I ”agree” with the list, I myself watch the new songs/video’s more often on YouTube and the others, older songs, I listen more via my MonaLisa streaming playlists; I was the no. 1 listener to the MonaLisa Twins on Deezer.
It is a pitty that not more people listen to “Make Show” and “Janitor Joe”, I think both are great songs, but people do not see it as a “music video”; no instruments, no microphones in the picture.
