The AWE-some power of music
The early release of MLT’s “Here There and Everywhere” yesterday to all of us very fortunate Club members was an example of magnificent sheer beauty in the form of music.
There are very few things in this world that can move so many as the beauty of art can, and for all of us here it is in the form of music. Mona and Lisa I think are one of the few, in the company of other talented artists that occasionally come along that is hard to find, with this kind of gift to be able to move people with their beautiful music. Mona and Lisa with the help of their parents recognized at an early age this special gift they had, musical talent, and cultivated and honed it to the jewel it has become today and continues to get better and more precious with every new song they do.
In honor of the incredible gift of music we all received at the club from the MLT yesterday, I wanted to share this which is moving in itself to watch. The power of music!
This scene from a 2006 Hollywood movie “Copying Beethoven” is all about a genius with all this magnificent music in his head that needed to get out to move the world. He had an unfortunate physical handicap that made it more challenging to do, but with a little help, got his music out and changed the world forever through his music. Even if you are not a classical music enthusiast, this should be moving I think.
The 2nd clip is a modern musical genius we all know, who in his late 70’s continue to move people to tears through his music and performances. Whether a classic or a modern rock piece, good music is good music and has the power to move people.
