The decision to release 2 CDs…
was BRILLIANT!! There was already enough great material for 2 CDs so why not go ahead and get the benefit of twice as many sales. By releasing them as 2 CDs instead of as a double album, those people who are a little less committed can buy the CDs one at a time for roughly half the cost. And because the new CDs are going to be great- most people won’t be able to stand not having all 3 of them. Great marketing decision, guys!
My guess is that they’ll market this as aggressively as possible and within 18 months, release another CD of new material.I have a music player on my phone called Pulsar that will allow me to make song playlists and sometimes I’ll listen to all the Beatles tunes, sometimes I’ll listen to all the live songs and sometimes I’ll listen to the 9 new ones. Sometimes I may listen to all the non-Beatles tunes- with 42 songs available on the 3 volumes- there will be so many choices.
