The Lost recordings: Penny Land and Strawberry Fields
Those 2009 MLT lost recordings of Penny Lane and Strawberry Fields in the Duo Sessions are so gooooooooooooood! The vocals and harmonies are so charming, I want to just to leave it playing on replay over and over they’re so irresistible. Their version, though not a full blown multi track and numerous instruments studio recording, sound as superb as the Beatles in it’s own unique and special way. Even though both songs are stripped down to just Mona and Lisa’s 2 vocals and guitar, and maybe perhaps because of that, it’s so wonderful, the raw beauty of their singing and harmonies are isolated and stand out. They transformed these two legendary Beatles songs into their own special gems here that can stand on their own. Love em!

You are right, Jung.  These are just perfect the way they are.  Reminds me of that German TV show when they were outside leaning on a tree singing perfectly.       Let’s see, lost tracks from another decade, aspiring musician doing covers of their songs, in-house recording studio, devoted fans around the world.  A rock&roll dream come true.  I am so stoked  for their next move.  It feels like the calm before the storm.    JP
