One of my favourite MLT songs is “Nothing Is In Vain”. It can carry my spirit into the clouds, like an out of body experience. I experienced that many times listening to it during my morning commutes to work on the train pre-covid. I watched the beautiful scenery unfold of the water and mountains from the train while listening to this song in my headphones. And then in the late afternoon coming home, “Dreams”, was another one that took me somewhere else into my imagination. Great songs are ones that can do this, and MLT write many great songs like this including the latest new ones, “Janitor Joe”, and “I Bought Myself a Politician”. This MLT Magic Mystery Tour journey just keeps getting better. Can’t wait for the new album.

I watched a couple of first reaction videos to some of the greatest timeless music ever written, and the reaction is very similar to my experience on the train. Out of body experiences. The music carries you into the mental state of the song writer. You feel the passion and emotions of what the song writer is trying to express. This is when music is a work of art, it is timeless.

Wow, I just watched this very reaction video to Good Vibrations a few hours before you posted it, Jung! Sounds like YouTube’s algorithms have put us on parallel paths.

For this one you have to put on your headphones, and turn out the lights. I can still remember my first reaction to this in my teens. Wow those howling guitar sounds blew me away. The electric guitar never sounded the same after this experience. Another out of body experience that only great music can accomplish. It sounds as good today as it did the first time I heard it so many decades ago, just timeless!

And here is the ultimate first reaction I think all of us here will be very interested in. Just posted on Facebook today in case you missed it. Does MLT well deserved justice.

Fantastic find, Jung! I’ve seen plenty of “first reaction” videos for songs by the Beatles and other 60’s luminaries, and I’ve always imagined that the intended audience is people who already know and love those songs. If we recommend MLT to the folks who make those videos, perhaps that will help their music reach many additional likely fans.
