Which Twin Should Sing Lead On The Next Beatle Cover?
Posted by Howard on 20/12/2019 at 02:29Well if it was to be “Oh Darling”, I would suggest Mona.

I like the back n forth taking turns that they do in this Dept… Whomever sounds more natural in leading vocals on a song, thus go for it, both have equal capabilities yet have slightly differening vocal ranges and pitches but combined… #GroovyGalsTwinThingPowerhouse

In the interviews they said the higher pitched leads were more Lisa’s thing (Shes leaving Home, Little Drummer Boy), and the raspy rock leads were Monas (You Really Got Me, Revolution), but they can certainly mix it up too like Lisa on You’re Gonna Lose that Girl, and Mona in Best Years Of Our Lives. They both have such wonderful vocal depth and versatility, whatever they do sounds absolutely brilliant.

Jung – that kind of breaks it up to Mona doing John and Ringo’s leads and Lisa doing Paul’s leads. George’s stuff would kind of be a toss-up depending on the song.

I would love to hear Mona sing “Oh Darling.” It’s always been one of my favorite songs by The Beatles. But, either of them would be fantastic on most Beatle songs.

Hi Jim, yeah that does make sense. John Lennon vocals often have that raspy rock and roll sound that Mona can do. With Paul there are those ballads with the highs for Lisa.

Not really a Beatles’ song, but close enough! Is that a Rickenbacker bass I see there?
