I recall Mona saying at one time that she was now the “tallest” twin and I think one of the newer photos supports that a bit. I was just wondering who is the “oldest” twin … Which one of you raced out of the womb first in order to get to guitar lessons right away? I’m going to guess that Lisa is the oldest twin, but I will easily stand corrected.

You both are a true gift to the rest of us who appreciate your music, your humor and your loving spirit. I love Mona, Lisa and the entire family. You all amaze me.

Hi Brian, yes, Mona is a little bit taller than me, about 3 cm (I’m 166cm) but I was born first, by 5 minutes. So the jury is still out on who that makes the “bigger sister” 🙂
    Hope you’re doing well!
    Best,
    Lisa

    Hi Lisa!

So I was right! You are the older sister … by five minutes. 😀 I’ve always thought that some of your mannerisms were very much like an older sister. Love you both …

Older… younger… taller… shorter…  The fact of the matters is that I love you both equally!

Yea, what the heck is a Toni?

Sorry, guys.  Maybe that line is not as well-known as I thought.  It’s an old advertising slogan for the Toni home permanent kit, used from about the 1940’s to the 1970’s.

Ah David! You have a great memory. I’d have to say that at the moment neither of our favourite twins has the Toni!

Well, I only remember that line because I started using it metaphorically whenever I couldn’t tell the difference between two things that I knew were supposed to be different.

Oh, that Toni. I remember ads for Toni but I don’t remember that ad. I guess it didn’t play in the USA. Yes, Howard it’s safe to say neither of our twins has the Toni, but with your permission David I think I’ll start using your metaphor. Its a great conversation starter!

Yeah, it’s strange.  I remember seeing “which twin has the Toni” ads on TV (in the U.S.) all the time in the 70’s, but this Australian one from the 60’s was the only one I could find on YouTube.

By all means, Stephen, spread the word!  It would be cool if it could become a “thing”.

      Jung;

I have noticed that Mona gets picked on more during their Halloween pic……..which should give some clues as to the evil one!!

Whichever one it is, she’s still the second-LEAST evil person on Earth.

(BTW, it’s Mona.  The younger sibling is always the troublemaker.)

Now what makes me think you have a younger sibling, David?

Being a middle child in a family of six children, I suggest I had multiple troublemaking siblings.

Personally I think Mona and Lisa probably share the role of the evil twin. It would be far too boring to be the goody two shoes all the time, and I can’t see either of them wanting that role permanently.

You’re very perceptive, Howard.  My brother, two years younger, made a career out of studying how I thought and finding ways to infuriate me that were so subtle that when I went to my parents to complain, I couldn’t even put his transgressions into words.

But yes, I imagine when the difference is only five minutes it’s pretty much a coin toss, with the younger one winning whenever the coin stands on edge.
