Like all the rest of your loving fans, I am in constant wonder why your photos and videos and music are not ubiquitous throughout western culture, if not the entire planet. And, I am only saying this half in jest. So, with this in mind, I have to ask you if you are aware that YouTubeMusic does not have all your albums on their MonaLisa Twins home page?

I recently subscribed to YouTube Premium because of no commercials and because it also included YouTubeMusic. Even though I already have all of your albums physically loaded onto my devices and do not need to stream them, I was curious to search for you and see what came up on their music app. They only show 2 of your albums; MTPBM vol 1, and WWT. They also show you have a total of only 964 subscribers (not 152,000). If you go to the “videos” section of the music app they do seem to have all the videos you have uploaded over the years (thank goodness).

So, what’s the deal? And, please tell us exactly what is the best way your fans can promote you throughout planet groovy?

Hi Stephen! First of all thanks 😀

We’re not entirely sure how “YouTubeMusic” works. We’re not subscribed to the service ourselves so we haven’t had a chance to check it out from the user’s point of view.

The reason only our first albums are available for streaming is because we haven’t given the “OK” to stream our later stuff on any of the major platforms like Spotify and apparently also YouTubeMusic. We’ve never really been okay with their policies and way of paying/treating the artists so we haven’t made them available there yet.

This may or may not be the right move and is something with various pros and cons so we might rethink it at some point but at the moment we’d rather concentrate on setting up our own way of connecting to our new and existing audience.

So it’s not really a “mistake” that the albums are not showing up for you but thanks for letting us know!

I subscribe to Spotify and the other day, I was curious about MLT being on there and I noticed someone made a Playlist, I took a screenshot: not sure if this person is in the wrong now, or not , as I’ve now read your reply and it reminded of the Spotify thing: Here’s the screenshot:
