A World Without Love
Please lock me away
And don’t allow the day
Here inside where I hide
With my loneliness
I don’t care what they say I won’t stay
In a world without love
Birds sing out of tune
And rain clouds hide the moon
I’m OK, here I’ll stay
With my loneliness
I don’t care what they say I won’t stay
In a world without love
So I wait and in a while
I will see my true love’s smile
She may come, I know not when
When she does I lose
So baby until then
Lock me away
And don’t allow the day
Here inside where I hide
With my loneliness
I don’t care what they say I won’t stay
In a world without love
So I wait and in a while
I will see my true love’s smile
She may come, I know not when
When she does I lose
So baby until then
Lock me away
And don’t allow the day
Here inside where I hide
With my loneliness
I don’t care what they say I won’t stay
In a world without love
I don’t care what they say I won’t stay
In a world without love

This very simple and underated song is a small jewell.
If tranposed to a lower key and played a little slower, it is a very melancholic and poetic BLUES!!
Some day I will try to do it on a DAW (not your cover, don’t worry…) 😅
“Please….lock me away…and don’t allow the day here inside, where I hide with my loneliness…”
And the HOBO sings, inside his small hut, still wearing his old hat….with a bottle of “Jack Daniel’s” beside him…
