So nice to listen to them and nothing bothers me , they are true in their craft and do their music with heart and soul and you can’t help to put all your worry’s away when you listen to them.

Great post my friend. Yes there was still a bit of rock and roll in 1975 for sure. Before Disco held ground. One thing I remember in 1975 was the Rolling Stones with Ronnie Wood as replacement for Mick Taylor and the Stones did a flat bed truck gig in the heart of New York to kick off their 1975 tour of the America’s. So cool and they did Brown Sugar. Linda Rhonstandt was on a roll as well. As well as Lynard Skynard and Bad Company with their album Straight Shooter with Feel like making love hit. Wow I could go on Jung but thank you for this great post

I agree Stuck in the middle with you have been played over and over again on local radio stations over the years, but when Mona and Lisa covered this song it opened up the reason why this song was so great back in 1972/73. Their cover is off the charts and the vocals, guitar riff and solo and just watching the pour their heart and soul on this cover makes it their own to me. Just watching them together is a honor and love how they are so well together and play off each other and smile so you can tell they are doing this for the love of the music and not just putting something out there.

Agree Jacki,
But wow Mona tears it up on those Ludwig Drums! I know how hard it is to keep it rocking but Mona taught me that yes Drummers have a huge part in songs and CLUB 27 is the perfect example of her drumming, wow these two ladies are simply put…The best!!! They play well together and have such love for this music how can you not love them and the journey they are on, thank god I am aboard for the ride. Keep it going Ladies and we all will promise to stay groovy! -
Club 27 is a great song all the way thru, from drums which my hats off to you Mona , as a drummer myself you did some great riffs thru out and a lot of playing not one but all of your drums to get that 60’s feeling, and Lisa my good ness Mick Taylor used to play for the Stones and he would love your work on this song, this song is a hit in my book and would be if it made the air waves in the USA for sure.

Thanks Thomas and yes she is outside playing so I cranked this one up for old times sake. Mick Taylor and Keith Richards sure was the perfect team in the early 70’s.

Well put my friend. I First hear Stray Cat Blues off the Get Yer Ya Ya album and Mick Taylor did an awesome job on the lead on this song and that made the song for me. But hearing the words and having and 8 year old in the house you really have to pay attention these days. Back in the day artists did songs that you read between the lines but today all bets are off and such a shame that kids today hear this type of music and feel it is ok. So sorry showing my age here but just happy Mona and Lisa don’t do this type of music. -

I put her up against the best Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood, Eric Claption, Glenn Campbell, Steve Miller, Chet Akins, John and George ( god bless them ) Jimi Hendrix…etc…
