You all have heard me mention my bucket list? This is one, right now I simply don’t have the time to put a garden in with my job and my little Maddie. My wife works second shift and I Am daylight and when I pick up Maddie it is the Dinner, homework, bath , read and it is 8:30 already….LOL…But I am very close to retirement and I plan on putting a garden in and put a lot of effort into it. My goal is tomatoes , corn, beans and what ever else I can do. I certainly have the space, my back yard is big so no problem there. But love this post and I learned a deal reading all your replys. Thank you !

    For what its worth
    Drive my car
    One more time

So this is just a sample of how good these ladies can make music and make it their own. They don’t do one style they do many styles, hey how about No More Worry’s Company?? Cool huh? It amazes me how diversity they are and to me that speaks volumes to their talent and in my mind I don’t think I will ever see another group in my lifetime that are so talented and good as the Mona Lisa Twins, we are very fortunate to witness greatness.

I agree, I sing at our Church and now with Covid we are live streaming the masses and you can go back and listen and I say…Oh my I thought I sang that song much better than it sounds, so no touching up it is raw.

Me as well Jung and Diana,
I have been at my job for 44 years and at 63 i am not quite there to retire, but the Mona Lisa Twins are a huge part of my day and their songs go in and out of head all day and that keeps me going. I love their music to bits and told my co workers that if I don’t listen to their music it will depress me to no end. Their positive and wonderful attitude is so welcomed in this lock down world we live in and I am old school, I like to go to work and get along with everybody but that does not happen anymore or at least where I work, I work in Manufacturing and I build printers for the industrial market , jet printers and glad to still be working but when the group of guys you work with are not very pleasant and distant it makes it hard, so that’s where I Turn to Mona and Lisa to remind me that the world still has 2 ladies who have great values and the love and spirit of their music that tells me, it is ok. And to be a part of this club is awesome to me so I can meet great people and chat with Mona and Lisa from time to time. My grand daughter Maddie loves them and listens to 2 of us and wide wide land all the time, she is 8. So Mona and Lisa thank you for letting us into the wonderful world you both share with us and keep it coming!

Wow great video Jung, thanks for sharing. I had many cars but the one I actually bought for the first time was a 1976 Pontiac Grand Prix sport model and I felt so great taking it for ride with the A/C on and my 8 track player playing Boston’s first album and cranking it as I was driving. But for sure the Mustang is a piece of American History.

    Jung,
    Thanks
Schools out was the National Anthem to us kids back in 1972…LOL…And yes I agree Orange is a master Piece of music in my eyes, I listen to it as much as I can. The arrangement of songs on that CD Is perfect, each one follows up on the one before and to end with still a friend of mine is a perfect end to a fabulous album, and a great follow up to their first album of original music. Jung can you imagine, not having the Mona Lisa Twins music in our lives? I can’t to be honest, I took my truck for an inspection today and the guy at the dealer said, hey who you listening to and I told him the Mona Lisa Twins and he said my god they sound great and I said hey check them out on U Tube and the grooviest place on the internet and he said I sure will, so we might have a new member soon to our club!!!
But on the Orange Album? My favorite track is Count on Me. I just love that song and they sound so wonderful and the music just flows and takes me back to the early 1970’s style of music that I fell in love with. 1970 to 1974 was a golden time for music and the song writing was peaking at that period of time.

    Rick,
I lean towards the early Beatles myself, 1963 to 1966 era and the cover songs are just as good to me that the Beatles do. You really got a hold on me is one that I rank up there just as good as the original but not taking anything away from Smokey Robinson, such a genius. Which leads to the cover songs that Mona and Lisa do, wow they breathe new life into them and yes they make the dark covers , Paint it Black etc sound so cool and awesome. But I agree with Lisa Revolution #9 is one that if I never hear it again I will be ok. Probably one Beatle song I never did like. And Helter Skelter is another one, brings back sad memories of the 1969 slayings , sad because it is a true rocker. And the song for some reason was tied in to that situation. But for a group like the Beatles to put out so much great music during their run, and to have 1 or 2 bad songs? Does not seem to bad to me. They were and still are the masters of the era and it continues today and beyond in my book.

  • Wow a bit behind here members, sorry but wow what a great post! For me? Wow I feel in love with the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan show in 1964 and then I heard Jumpin Jack Flash, Honkey Tonk Women and then I heard Brown Sugar and that was it for me, So I started loving the Stones but can’t forget the Beatles. Keith Richard said one time that the Beatles Opened the door and the Stones kicked the door down. No matter how you feel, these two groups shaped music for me and the music will live on forever.
