OMG This song is so good to kick off their first album and the video to go along with it is super. I love the middle part of this song when you can feel the energy being pushed up a bit and when I listen in the car I crank it up!! And this shows the talent they have at such an early age. I know I am happy as can be to listen to the Mona Lisa twins each and every day.

We saw the Rolling Stones back in October 2021 at Heinz Field here in Pittsburgh where the Steelers play and what a show! Mick is 78 years old and he was running from one side of the stage to the other, and yes, miss Charlie Watts dearly, my hero. When Paint it Black first came out in 1966 Brian Jones did the sitar on this track and when I hear it I always think of him, wow how sad he past away in 1969 at the age of 27. But I agree wit you all, Mona and Lisa do such a great job on this song from the acoustic version to the Cavern Club. And I agree I feel Mick and Keith would give it a thumbs up for sure. I feel Donovan would do the same with Sunshine Superman with Mona a driving force on this song to the fabulous slide guitar that Lisa does. So I ask….How lucky are we to have Mona and Lisa in our lives??

    Jung and David,

Great posts! This album from the 1st track to the last is arranged perfectly. When I listen I have to go from track 1 to Still a friend of mine. Every song follows the one before in perfect order. The song writing to the lyrics, guitar, drums, strings etc…are on spot. I agree Jung Pet Sounds and Rubber Soul come to mind and that to me is telling me how far and the great talent Mona and Lisa have to perfect such a wonderful album. Can you imagine the new one when it is complete? Kind of reminds me of Rumors from Fleetwood Mac and the follow up Tusk, they took their time and it paid off and I am sure this is the same with Mona and Lisa. I Have always said in the past that anything Mona and Lisa work on is worth the wait. Orange is a great example of those words. This album is on my play each at least 2 or 3 times a week. I am so happy I found these talented ladies. And to further your point Jung, it is an album for the ages and beyond to me. The future is bright and again Mona and Lisa are saying ( in so many words ) come with us to a groovy place and it will be ALRIGHT!

    Michael,

We stay in South Myrtle Beach and the place or area we stay is Surf Side or Garden City and we have had the best times there. It is not the busy part of Myrtle Beach just kind of laid back and family oriented. We have not been there since 2019 and hope to go next year. With our son getting Married this year that kind of taken the focus this year.

Hello Jacki, always good to hear from you! I will have to check out that store next time we go to Myrtle Beach, thanks for the information, I will keep you in mind when I go there! Yes Covid has changed everything in our lives for sure. Retirement is a new chapter in my life, I have been always a work a holic and now have to re focus and one is getting back in shape, I walk aprox 3 to 5 miles in the morning and trying like crazy to cut back on what I eat, I love chocolate and that is my downfall….LOL…But trying to loose 20 pounds before my son’s wedding in July! But each day is different , either yard work, or working on the cars, or my wife’s honey do list…LOL…We went to a concert the other night with our boys and it was an outdoor concert with a group called the Luminaries, never heard of them but we like them but the best part? Just getting out and trying to get back to normal with life, it felt great just being with people and having a good time. So good luck to your nephews on their softball games and keep in touch, again always great hearing from you! God Bless and keep us posted on your retirement.

Thanks Tom, Maddie plays the infield 2nd or 1st and depending on how the game is going we move kids around and she plays left or right center field. Our last regular season game it tonight and then next week we go into playoffs and then we move into All Star play in August so busy summer! But love it!!

    Diana,

Thanks for the kind words! YES 8 and a half months will fly by quickly. Just a suggestion? Start now with your finances like Social Security, pension, 401 K…ETC….I started 3 months before and just got it all done so if you give yourself a bit of room it will help. Yes Maddie is a pleasure and we love her to bits. My youngest son is getting married in July and we are thinking more grand kids soon!!

  • Great to hear from you Jacki! Yes June 16, a special day for the twins and us as club members! Stay Groovy everyone!

    Mike,

Hello and yes very busy for sure. Seems like you got your hands full. We travel to South Carolina to visit Myrtle Beach and love it! I agree beats working for someone or a company and you are on your own schedule and never have to worry about time schedule or yearly reviews or new rules to follow …etc….and being out of management no headaches with issues…LOL…

    Enjoy and relax

    Bill
