    Howard,

I have to admit Gimme Shelter is a powerful song and that lady who does the middle part takes it to another level and just like the lady on their tours over the years does that part! Wow

    Jung,

As an old school kind of guy, I have to admit, I love this version better than the original! And I am not a guy who like the original to get kicked to the curb….LOL…But Mona and Lisa have knocked the door open for me and this is not the only version I like better that the original, just to name a few? You Really Got Me, White Room Lisa and Mona tear this one up, with the drums and Guitar solo’s, just a few and like I always say, they are in a special group of people who can cover songs and do them well if not better, Elvis comes to mind, and one of his songs I feel he does well is You Lost That Loving Feeling…wow such energy on that one.

    Jung,

Sorry not a good artist, but love all the drawings posted here, such talent and fun! Don’t know if this counts as a lockdown creativity? But when My little Grand Daughter Maddie is getting a bath, I put on U Tube and put on the Mona Lisa Twins music and she sings along with them. So cool to me and she loves Wide Wide Land and Two Of Us.

    Jung and Club members,

Again my point on what I have been saying all along, these ladies are in a handful of musicians who can cover a song and make it their own, so with that said? I love this version and as a drummer I Am tapping along with Mona on my desk, steering wheel, dinner table on the conga part she is amazing right?

    Michele and Club members,

My thought as well, I was thinking starting off with This Boy Is Mine and go with the first album to start the show and before the intermission go to the covers, then after the intermission hit the Orange Album and then sit and do the Duo Sessions covers just the two of them, and bounce back and forth from Covers and ending with Still a Friend of Mine, then for the curtain call? For What’s it Worth, The Last Time, Revolution and Club 27 to End!!

But I agree I want all the songs going from the CD with California Dreaming, San Francisco, Hotel California and the Concert CD and etc…I listen to all of them from number 1 track to the end. My day is not complete until I hear the Mona and Lisa Twins, their Music is awesome.

    Thanks Lisa and Howard,

Sometimes I get carried away with song selections ….LOL…But hearing the guitar solo and the movement of this song is why I thought it would be a good one to cover. So sorry for steeping out of bounds here….LOL…But I know what ever song you ladies Cover? It will be great and to be honest? I like it better that the original!!!

    Howard

Again thanks for this message, there is a guy here in Pittsburgh who at every sporting event sits on the bridge and plays a sax and let me tell you , he is awesome. I make sure I put money in his bucket and sit and listen to him and you can tell it is coming from the heart.

Thank you so much for the back history and I am the one who asked the twins to cover that song, but after the facts I agree with you, the Beatles Because will be the one that they cover. I have heard over the years that the guy running the show for the DC5 is a very hard business person and I have read it as well. So all facts from you Howard and again thanks!!

    Hello Jung my friend!

New one for me, I Will have to listen to that one, thanks for putting that out there. I know there are a ton of songs out there for this subject, but one song comes to my mind and that is If you really want to be my friend by the Stones off there It’s only rock and Roll LP 1974. But then I think Big Girls Don’t Cry, The Four Seasons 1964, I guess I Could go on and on and not 100% sure if I am adding to your question Jung but love getting on this club and hearing from you

    Take care

    Bill
