So perfect of a song from words, to chords, arrangements etc…. Listen close to the song on the Orange album, and the first break, I believe you hear Mona on the brushes on the drums say Ah! LOL….Again these ladies do everything right, from guitar Riffs, to Harp playing to bass lines ( thanks to pop on the bass playing on Lola ) and the beautiful blend of harmonies.

Howard,
Thank you so much, I Completely forgot about this song of Because! I agree with you and Mona that song has such beautiful Harmonies that you and I know that only Mona and Lisa can tackle! This would be a perfect fit for the ladies to cover. This is so cool, talking music with you Howard and it was so amazing that Mona responded , this really made my day and I am listening to the Beatles version of Because and just thinking how Mona and Lisa would handle this version, heck look how they did Imagine. We have heard so many covers over the years, but their version is a keeper and just like Christmas song by John and Yoko, on their Christmas album. Also how about their version on that album of Walking in the Air? I have heard that song years ago but they covered it and I fell in love with that version, the acoustics, harmonies, strings man what a masterpiece. These ladies are something special and love what their vision is , again thank you for bringing up the Beatles version of Because!

I do the same thing when I Come home from work, roll the windows down and put on Orange or the first album and I Try my best to sing, I am a tenor at heart, but reaching some of the notes it is a challenge for me …LOL….I am not kidding I listen to the Mona Lisa Twins everyday and my day is not complete. We have a 55 inch TV and got UTube manly for the Mona Lisa Twins and it feels like i am right there in the audience. Got to say, all the songs on Orange are great but my favorite is Count on Me, reminds me of early 1970’s music. But think about it, this album has so many great songs it is hard to pick just one just like their first album. I Keep bugging them to do a video on Count on Me….LOL…Hope they do someday. I am with you all in saying these ladies are a gift to us and just love the spirit and love they put into their music. And when they rock? Man they can give anyone a run for their money, lead guitar, harp, voices they have it all!!! I have such a good feeling watching them rock out to Club 27, Revolution, Last Time, This boy is mine, and the version they put on recently For Whats it worth……OMG Rock and tearing it down……love it!!

What I love about Mona and Lisa? When it comes to guitar riffs, drum riffs, strings, they make sure they input that in the songs that we know and man does it sound great! They can match note for note in my book

Hi Steve,
Welcome aboard! Mona and Lisa bring this music back and they make it their own and breathe new life into these great songs from the 60’S. They do such a great job covering the Beatles and I am sure Paul or Ringo by now have heard how great these ladies are. I am waiting for them to Cover Get Back!!

Member02/06/2020 at 00:40 in reply to: How did you experience your MLT joy today, Jung?I totally agree with you. They cover songs and breathe new life into the songs. Think about it, their video While My Guitar Gently Weeps……Eric Clapton did the lead guitar on that song, and Lisa made it her own, and Mona played the Harp on The Best Days of Our Life…..and they do these covers with such grace and style you fall in love with their version. So with their original music? Well how about Club 27? And This boy is Mine? OMG Such talent it is so wonderful to listen. I am such a huge fan, my day is not complete unless I watch or listen to them. I just wish I could see them in concert here in the USA. And maybe tell them how great they are for all of us to listen to. I remember the first time I Saw the Rolling Stones in concert 1972, and how excited I was, heck Stevie Wonder was the warm up. And I know if I ever have the chance to see the Mona Lisa Twins in Concert I will be just as excited if not more excited.

Member01/06/2020 at 01:56 in reply to: How did you experience your MLT joy today, Jung?Hello. So far I am loving this club!! So much to navigate thru and learn. These 2 ladies have it all together. You can feel it thru their songs. From covers to original they have hit it out of the park every time, no matter if it is the Stones, Beatles, Doors, Buffalo Sprinfield……the Mona Lisa Twins fall into a group of musicians that cover songs and do it well, one I Have in mind is Elvis, he can cover many songs and make them his own, and Mona and Lisa can do that as well! I am in awe of the talents they both have from their voices, to the guitar’s to the drums, strings, harp….wow I am just amazed and so happy that I found them, they get me thru my day. Like everyone else in the USA and the world, we are faced with stress and drama and this virus, and you can get so down, but when I listen to them? It takes me back to wonderful times in my life and know that 2 young ladies can bring back this music and makes us all know that we are in good hands. So god bless them and pray they keep it coming with the love and spirit of their music!!
