Lovely collection! Wondering what your personal observations are on the difference between the J-160E and the EJ-160E…is the Gibson price tag worth it?

The girl who wins the contest that Paul judges is named Melanie Coe. Four years later, Melanie would run away from her comfortable, well-to-do home, and the Daily Mail would write an article, titled “A-Level Girl Dumps Car And Vanishes,” with quotes from her parents, like, “she has everything here.”
Paul read that article and it planted an idea in his head, which became “She’s Leaving Home.” Truly an amazing coincidence.

By Revolver they definitely were running into technological limitations, but everything I’ve read and seen suggests they were simply tired of touring (George in particular).
Look at 1965: 63 live performances across Europe and North America, filming the Help! film, writing, recording, and releasing the Help! and Rubber Soul albums, and TV appearances.
That’s after 1964’s 131 performances, filming A Hard Day’s Night, writing, recording, and releasing A Hard Day’s Night and Beatles for Sale, and all the other things that occupy a band.
That seems like a pretty unsustainable pace, and touring was a huge amount of time and stress.
There are definitely 1967-1969 songs that could have been played live in some form, but they made it pretty clear to Brian Epstein that 1966 was the end of touring. Heck, Paul couldn’t even get them to do a proper concert with an audience in 1969, which is how they ended up on the roof.

I was…a couple of decades from being born, and I can’t remember a time when I didn’t love Revolver.
I realized the other day that there has now been more time between The Beatles Anthology and the present day than there was between Anthology and the Let it Be album.
Here’s to the next 55 years!

Jeffery, are you thinking of the “Real Love” video?

Apologies; I added a couple of links to “Ask the Monalisa Twins” answers where they directly discussed some of their gear, and I forgot that adding multiple links in a post might trigger moderation.
In brief, if you’re talking about the “Sound of Silence” video, you might be asking about the Wazinator Stompbox.
As for pedals, here are some things Lisa has posted:
I’d rather try to avoid effects pedals, because most of the time I like the raw, unmodified sound of my guitars better. For most live situations I just use a Vox Tonelab ST effects pedal for nothing more than a little compression, reverb and volume control and then go straight into a Vox AC30.
—
Live we both normally just go into a Vox “Tonelab” Pedal for a little bit of compression, chorus and occasionally some other effects like “wah” or more drive. I found it to be one of the few effect pedals that don’t affect the dynamics and original sound of my guitars too much.
—
We basically use the same things we do live in the studio too. We also sometimes play around with amp simulations and different digital effects. Whatever it takes to get the best sound for each song.

That’s the 17 June 1964 evening performance in Melbourne during the Australia tour.

5/5 in the first, 5/5 in the second, 2/5 in the third. The last round was nuts, and I was way off on the ones I missed.
That was fun; thanks for sharing!

Congratulations! Have a very happy anniversary.

Do you mean the Wazinator stompbox?
Also, they go a bit more into gear in these posts:
