I was 3.5 years old and excited to play with my newborn baby brother (born just 1 month before the album came out). It took a while to discover the Beatles. My parents thought they were a bunch of crazy hippies and all we had were show tunes like Camelot, My Fair Lady……and The Sound of Music.

Hi Jung,
I was in Portland for my nephew’s wedding in the end of June and the temperature was 105°F/40°C with a forecast of 115°F/46°C. I know you live in that neck of the woods. You were also in my thoughts. I was sickened by all of the heat related deaths.
I think now more than ever, we have to seize the day and cling to all of the beautiful things in life. Music is such a big part of that!!

Hi Jacki,
When I saw the footage of that tornado in Ontario, I immediately thought of you and had to check how close Barrie was to where you live. I’m in the Western US with all that crazy heat. The world has gone mad with all these crazy weather patterns.

This is such a personal issue for me! I got Tinnitus after an inappropriate administration of IV antibiotics. My ears have been ringing for 12 years. You get used to it, but I’ll never know the sound of silence.
Bono and The Edge both have it and wrote a verse about it in ‘Staring at the Sun’
There’s an insect in your ear……If you scratch it won’t disappear….It’s gonna itch and burn and sting…..Do you want to see what the scratching brings?

I thought the same thing about ‘White Room’. I was blown away by this “new” cover. Then I looked at the juke box. WOW!!! This is better than the original. The vocals and guitars are incredible!!

This is one of my favorite Cake songs. In general, the band has a real Kinks vibe. Yes, it is probably more alternative (I love a lot of music from that genre). It also has a nice piano intro. Hope you enjoy
