I’ve only observed this effect with videos, not images. When I said “image” earlier, I just meant what you see in the video frame.
-
I’m seeing it in forum topics where a lot of videos have been posted, such as “Favorites Solo Artist Songs”. It’s a temporary problem that eventually clears up, but the more videos that are posted, the longer it persists. The window for each video is vertically stretched to about twice its normal length. The image is enlarged as well, and the left and right edges are cut off.

Wow, that’s amazing, Joe! I bought it on audio cassette, though. I don’t know if that would make it more, or less, valuable.

Joe, I wouldn’t say it’s Spoonful-quality, but there are some good songs. Besides the one I posted, I like “Smokey Don’t Go” (a tribute to Smokey Robinson) and “Night Owl Cafe” (about the venue where he played before he made it big).
You can listen to the whole album on YouTube. It’s called “Tar Beach”.

I don’t know a lot of Sebastian’s post-Spoonful work, but I did buy a new album in the 90’s that contained this catchy little ditty:

This one was posted once on another thread, but John Sebastian’s solo career included a number-one hit in the U.S. that was the theme song of the sitcom that launched John Travolta’s career:

I’ve noticed the same thing, Jacki, and I’m using a desktop computer.

I am aware of one Beatles / Beach Boys collaboration, although I can’t recall whether the story was from Paul or Mike Love. During the time they were both with the maharishi, Paul played Mike a song he was working on, which was “Back in the USSR”, and Mike suggested he say something about the girls in Russia. And hence the verse with “the Ukraine girls really knock me out”.

Cloud Nine, right, Jacki?
I remember reading some musical “year in review” article at the end of 1987, and it noted that “George Harrison emerged from artistic oblivion”. I love that phrasing.

These are all really interesting to listen to, Jung! When Brian sings and plays those bits of Beatles songs, I can almost convince myself that they’re really Beach Boys songs.
-
I’m really enjoying these George songs, Joe; I don’t know a whole lot of his solo work. For the “quiet” Beatle, he sure knew how to have fun with a video!

It would be interesting to learn how they figured out that cats enjoy this. Was there anything involved beyond trial-and-error? Can the sounds be related to any natural sounds that cats like? Did they find patterns that they could use to create even “better” cat music?

And when Elon Musk launched a Tesla into outer space I thought of this one:
