Paul Butterfield Blues Band with Geoff Muldaur (former husband of Marie Muldaur of “Midnight at the Oasis fame”). It’s such a haunting and beautiful song with a great message and a terrific album cover . Paul wasn’t technically great but he was very expressive.

Another great harmonica player..Corky Siegel. Had a very fine band in the late 60’s called Siegel-Schwall Band and now has a group called Corky Siegels Chamber Blues.

I love both of these songs and listen to both almost daily. All of their originals speak to what great singer/songwriters they are. Even at 13 the melody and lyrics of Alone are first rate. You can see their growth from the 1st to the 3rd original albums. After having played Why! Over 100 million times I now find myself listening to all 3 albums equally and enjoying each of them for their own unique brilliance.

Daryl…I too am late to reply to your post. Very sorry for your loss and truly happy you were able to find a way to bring some finality to it. I lost my brother this past Christmas and can only thank the Universe for having pulled us together for the last few years of his life. I can’t agree with you more…don’t put off doing something that’s in your heart for a loved one…but if it happens make the best of it..which you did!! Thanks for the inspiration.

JP….I have to be past my first cup before I become a somewhat normal thinking being. Joining the MLT club has been a joy. There is so much to hear and see and respond to and suggest. Having this forum to go back and forth with each other is great (Jung you are right that it is a safe place)! May the coming weeks, months and years bring much more of the same high quality emotive and creative music on video, CD, Vinyl, digital or even 8 Track and cassette😅😅

Jung and all…2024 MonaLisa Calendar
I believe someone suggested that (another) photograph of 2 very beautiful young ladies poised sitting on this same elephant be in the 2024 Calendar. I was there spring 2022 but the elephant didn’t seem to have the same sparkle in his eyes that he did with the twins. 🤣

I had 2 brothers (one who passed this past December) and my mom took so many pictures of us growing up and it is so fun looking at them once every so often. We were each roughly 4 years apart and she would dress us all in the same outfits (that was the 50’s). Two of my favorite videos of theirs I love to watch are “All I want for Christmas” and “Two of Us”. They had wonderful smiles then as they do now. Always wonder which one it is that speeds up the rocking chair. I wonder if the competative nature of twins is similiar to that of other siblings?

Member02/07/2023 at 02:04 in reply to: What is your favorite MLT animal photo or momentI believe I saw the Spoonful once and John as a single act twice. Last time was the same tour in 2019 at a place called The Amp in Bethesda, Md. His voice was damaged years ago but he was terrific with the voice he still had, told a lot of stories and played some mighty fine harp!! His video with the MLT’s was one of the videos that got me hooked on the Twins.
