Hi, Thank you very much for the groovy live stream. There is no replacement for the authentic feel of a live event. It was very natural like a meeting with good friends. Technically it was excellent. The small microphones (panning left for Mona and right for Lisa) sounded clear and with full frequency range including the low range. The voice harmonies were superb as always. It was fun.
To all the MLT family, have a Merry Christmas and a happy New Year.

I think the following song will fit very much the beautiful harmonies of Mona & Lisa.
It can be a great acoustic duo session:
“Every night” from the 1st solo album of Paul McCartney.
Another great option for a duo session is:
“Bluebird” from the “Band on the run” album.

Member06/02/2019 at 12:16 in reply to: The Eurovision song contest…or, will MLT become the next ABBA?Dear Lisa,
Thank you very much for the detailed and sincere answer to my question.
For me it’s not obvious that both of you take the time to answer most of the questions in this forum. I understand it takes a lot of time and maybe you would prefer to have this time free for writing more beautiful songs such as “In it for love” or “Count on me” (I love them)…
My intentions with this question were pure: only a suggestion for a “promotion boost” for the Mona Lisa Twins, using the Eurovision song contest as a platform. I used ABBA only as an example for the potential in this idea.
However my question provoked a long thread of emotional and passionate arguments, led by some of your most dedicated fans. I do value some of the inputs I got from people like Howard, Michael, etc…, but some of the messages were totally out of the subject and became more and more personal…
I guess this long thread deterred you from answering for a long time…
Therefore, I think the decision to moderate this forum, and prevent other fans from answering until MLT answer themselves, is a very good decision!
About ABBA music: I’m not an ABBA fan at all. I am first of all an addicted Beatles fan, but I love to listen to all kinds of music from the 60’s and 70’s, including ABBA.
I think there are things to learn from them as well: their ability to write melodic and catchy pop songs, and their fine arrangements and production. We need to remember that they were active mainly during the Disco era, and that the Disco influenced almost every artist at that time, including genuine rock bands.
I’d like to mention, as an example, two ABBA songs, well written and with good musical production. Songs of this style could be written by MLT and fit their new record without any of their fans complaining (-:
The songs are: “The name of the game”, “Eagle”.
Finally, two notes to specific people:
– To Mr. Michael Triba: I saw now your friendship request in FB and I will answer it soon. Note that I don’t have much time for social networking. I’m only here because I like the music of MLT very much and I want to support them.
– To Mr. Christomir Rackov: I liked reading your message and opinion about the subject. I think if the MLT would consider participating in the Eurovision in the future, they should read what you wrote. By the way, my late mother was born in Sofia and Bulgarian was the native language at my late grandparents’ home…
And to Mona and Lisa: May you have a good mood and peace of mind to write great songs for your next record.
Regards,
Lior.

Member02/12/2018 at 21:21 in reply to: The Eurovision song contest…or, will MLT become the next ABBA?OK, I would like to add some points to my original post, just to make it more clear:
1. I am not in favor of TV talent shows in general. On the contrary, I am against shows like “X-factor”, “UK got talent”, “The voice” etc… These programs force the participants to sign unfair contracts, and aim to control their performance and copyrights in many ways. It is true that if MLT would choose to participate in one of these TV shows, they would need to compromise a lot of their art.
However I think that the Eurovision song contest is different in that it is basically a non-profit organization. The candidates have the support of the people of the country that sends them. They also have financial support from the broadcasting authority in this country (for example the BBC in the UK, or the ORF in Austria).
The candidates need to prepare and sing only one song, and they maintain their control of the performance and copyrights.
2. I really don’t think that the world will change suddenly, and people will return to the musical taste of the Sixties. Radio and TV stations are mostly getting the music that is supplied to them by the large record companies.
Therefore, what MLT need to do, is use the available tools for their purposes. MLT does not change Facebook, Youtube nor Instagram, but they use these tools for their needs.
In a similar way, they can use the existing tool of the Eurovision contest for their own purpose. They do not need to win the contest. The participation in the contest is enough for getting very wide publicity.
3. My timing for this post is apparently not good:
a. The time for public submissions for the next Eurovision contest (2019) is over. For example the BBC closed its entries by the end of October. As a matter of fact, soon the countries will start to announce their representatives for the coming 2019 contest.
Therefore, even if Mona & Lisa would choose to try and submit a song for the coming Eurovision 2019 contest, it is too late now.
So they have a lot of time to decide if maybe they would like to try it in the next contest (2020). If they want, they now have plenty of time to write a hit song and record a demo version, to be submitted next summer (August 2019) to either the BBC or the Austrian ORF 🙂
I am sure they can easily enter the 2020 contest, if they only wanted.
b. I guess the MLT calendar is already full of activities and plans for the near future. There is no time for them right now to think of an additional task 🙂
Even if a world-wide fame is on the agenda 🙂
Anyway, I’m still curious to read their answer for this discussion.
Lior.

Hi,
Thank you Mona for the answer and thanks
to all the fans for solving the mystery…:-)
I remember when I was young we used to stop
the White Album record from turning at the end of
“I’m so tired” and turn it backward with our hand,
trying to understand if John really saying:
“Paul is dead now, miss him, miss him, miss him…”
Of course today almost every mp3 player has the reverse playing option…
so it is much more easy to try…
Thank you MLT family for sending us back to great times of music and spirit…
STAY GROOVY……..

Paul McCartney actually will play two concerts in Vienna on the 5th and 6th of December and then in Liverpool on the 12th of December.
It will be very appropriate and cool if Mona & Lisa were invited to sing with him on stage…
I’ll follow the sun is a classic choice for this kind of event…
