    Pretty Woman???  The 3 way solo on Carry That Weight/The End??  I know this last one are 3 separate guitars….so Mona and Lisa would have to over-dub.  Mike.

  • Wow!!  What an interesting dialogue!!  I’ve learned so much with the back and forth.  I kept wondering “What is Itso??”  I even googled it for internet slang, etc., and could not find it!!

    Also, I based my earlier comments about the ESC based on AGT and American Idol contests here in the states.  The “winners” and runner-ups had to sign a contract with Clive Davis and others like him and pretty much lose artistic control in their LPs. When Kelly Clarkson tried to break away, it was a major headache for her.  But, she persisted and is still pretty popular (though not my style of music).  To me MLT is going about it in the right way…..try to work outside of the established music industry as much as possible.  Mike.

    Jacki;

    I agree, too.  And yet the Still a Friend of Mine was a simple video by comparison but the images on the video and the song itself is just so profound.  Mike.

    I like the idea.  I hope something like it happens.

    Hi;

    Rick that was a good question.  I so enjoy hearing about equipment and the mechanics of making music.  Also, I have a Rick 330 and it is one of my favorite guitars.  It has such a smooth sound and so easy to move around the frets.

    Also, I bought the Rick last year because of George and Mona.  It is not an exact match but I looked at the 330, played it, and just had to get it.  Mike.

    Hi;

    I have been waiting moderation on two questions for two weeks and another one for a few days. I noticed last week they answered one question that was submitted some time in December.  So, the time period is getting longer, but I think the are a little busy recording and doing videos.  It may take some time but they will answer.  Mike

    I like Lisa, too.  She can play lead guitar so very well.  When she plays Johnny B. Good, I except her to start “duck-walking” during the song since it is so close to the original. Really impressed by her guitar playing.  At times I notice that she really stretches a long distance to play a chord and I don’t understand how she can do that.  If I tried that, my hand would fly apart.  As a vocalist she just plain kills…….Still A Friend and others.  Like her pointing the bow at us after If I Fell.  So, very talented.  Mike.

    Really like Mona because I identify with her the most.  I started out playing the drums and switched to rhythm guitar………but still play the drums once in a while when I get the “itch” to do so.  Usually I am the second guitarist and background vocalist but sometimes sing lead………but I am really nervous about it.  Also, liked it when she played the flute.  Mike  .

    Hi Jung;

    I like the idea of the Wild Horses riff.  It is a pretty nice guitar part and I believe Lisa/Mona could do it well.  Mike.

  • Hi Christomir;

    The major point I was trying to make was that one similarity in those shows on both sides of the pond is that there is a loss of artistic control and that is something I would not like to see for MLT.  I think their plan (what little I know of it through observation) is a good way to go.  It sounds like ESC and AGT or AI have the one similarity of the artists would be restricted in what they can do.  And, to me the MLT plan as it is right now seems to be working.

    Best to you;

    Mike

    Oh well…….9 out of 10 and feeling like a failure!!  I didn’t know “It’s All Too Much” all that well.  I tended to skip the Yellow Submarine and Magical Mystery Tour time period.  Mike.

    Yes, it does clear it up.  I’ve enjoyed everything in the duo sessions and the early access.  I hope you are having a great winter!!!  Mike.

    Hi Lisa;

    Thank you so much for the answer to this question.  I really appreciate the time took to answer this one.  I find it interesting in how the creative process works and have noticed with several artists that there is not one set way, but that one way is most likely to occur with a specific artist.  Your way where it starts from various sources shows an openness to the creativity and not following an formula.  I hope you are having a great winter!!!  Mike
