I hate to sound like Scrooge, but I am not crazy about any Christmas movies. A Wonderful Life is a classic…….so is Miracle on 34th Street. But, I don’t watch them every year. Mike.

I agree, Sara. During live shows I try to sit as close to the front as possible to cut down on the cell phones I have to look around or over. I also try to sit on the end of the row to make it somewhat easier to see. My favorite seat is to the right of the musicians (left for us) so I can see what they are doing on their instruments……….fingering on the fret board, etc.

Concerning the LP Why?…………………..read the lyrics carefully and you can see a statement on current society. To me it looks like a pretty sophisticated statement far beyond anything they have done in the past. And, I didn’t even have to play it backwards or wear a tin-foil hat to see it!!!!! Mike.

In a way we might be able to ‘see’ past acts on stage again. They have done hologram concerts of Roy Orbison, Buddy Holly, and ABBA so far. And, the ‘performances’ are spooky to me. There is some talk of a hologram show of the Beatles. I’m not sure this is a good thing. Mike.

I really like the picks. I use them mostly when I am constructing a new song. When I play in person I use picks with a grip on them to make it harder to drop them while playing (doesn’t help all that much). I also notice that picks disappear mysteriously like socks in the dryer. Mike.

Laurel Canyon was the great dreamland for musicians in the late 1960s and early 1970s. I never got to visit because at the time I was in my middle teens and Mr. Rife (my dad) would have stopped me from going or make me wish I had never gone.

So sad to hear that Christine passed away. We would listen to Rumors over and over every Friday night after some time at a local establishment while I was in grad school. Mike.

During shows CSN(Y) will play Blackbird and Neil Young plays part of Norwegian Wood sometimes during Cinnamon Girl.

Really like Close to You and many others on Orange. 2017 was a banner year with Orange and the re-release of Sgt. Peppers. I think Roy Orbison’s Mystery Girl was also re-released that year……so a great year in music. Thank you so much MLT!!! Mike

A few years ago……..2019, I believe, I watched Peter and Jeremy (that’s hard to say) sing this song as well as many others of their combined hits. After a while when they sang it, it turned into a sing-along. Mike.
