Thanks Dan for this excellent summary.
I am in no position to critique Paul’s or anyone else’s memory – and I totally agree it makes a much better story.
Have you seen the GettBack documentary?
It was amazing watching Paul work through Let It Be and The Long and Winding Road
And he was rocking last nigh in Adelaide Australia where our dear girls did study abroad – 55 years later!!!

Hi Jung,
Paul actually sings “brother Malcolm” in this Let It Be take.

I wish I could find the interview with Mal Evans when he talked about Paul explaining his dream.
So cool seeing genius at work. I’ve emailed the girls about making a Get Back type video of their process. I’m amazed how heavenly they harmonize. And I so enjoy their guitar skills…

I was scrolling the site, enjoying sone archives and videos as I do to get the great enjoyment of seeing the amazing Wagner twins fill me with joy. I happened on the thread that had several long discussions related to things I get on the MLT site to avoid. Not to disagree or be disagreeable, but there are many other sites for those discussions for those who feel so inclined. I hope the MLT Club remains a sanctuary for great music by great and supremely talented people for the joy of the members. No offense intended to anyone…

After seeing the behind the scenes rehearsal, I would give quite a lot to hear the girls with Mike on “With a Little Help from My Friends”! The MLT harmonies and seeing how they approached the song make me so look forward to seeing them play it live. I’m praying for patience … maybe someday –

I just read the Orange post. Love the explanation and my hair comparison wasn’t completely far out…

I find this answer very interesting. I had assumed Mona and Lisa chose the name Orange because Mona – blond; plus Lisa – red; and together they make orange.
Apologies for the way my mind connected those … -

I’m so spoiled by Mona and Lisa’s awesome covers…

Honestly I enjoy watching Mona play drums and Lisa play lead guitar so much I could watch them all day – the video “Lola” is a tour de force of musician awesomeness including Papa Rudi on bass and keyboards!

George Martin, the Beatles’ producer, made an album of Beatles songs covered by famous people. He insisted on working with Celine Dionsincd he wanted “to work with the world’s best instrument” (I’m paraphrasing); and he had Celine sing Here, There, and Everywhere. Her version was naturally awesome but I think George Martin would have chosen Mona and Lisa’s version were he here today…
