Hi Tim.
I think MLT have taken the very courageous and risky route they have for a reason. Total control over their art and music, free from the abuse of the corporate world (Badfinger just one of many examples) and the divisive nature of politics and religion.
There are plenty of forums out there where we can discuss religion or politics or both. However, this forum is for MLT supporters who like Beatlesque music or MLT originals, or people like you and me who are here for both. I know you feel the same. Mona, Lisa and Rudolf’s music take us through a range of emotions, the good, the bad and the ugly, but always in a positive, enjoyable and in the end, groovy way!
The following is a quote from their biography:
“That doesn’t mean at all that they don’t want or need the help of other people, but it means they’re willing to work twice or thrice as hard so they don’t have to give away their creative freedom or values for any short-term success. They created their own label and took DIY to a whole new level.”
Now I for one don’t want this club to be for MLT the unfortunate Janis Joplin’s experience of ‘I worked hard all of my lifetime, no help from my friends’ but rather the positive Beatles’ experience of ‘I get by with a little help my friends’. I know we are on the same page here Tim!

Hi Michael. I tend to agree with you. Although there are many similarities, there are also significant differences, as you have pointed out. I have also noticed that over the years, Mona seems to have developed more of a fuller, rounder face and her gorgeous smile appears to be much wider, extending almost from ear to ear sometimes. Not that Lisa doesn’t also have a gorgeous smile. They looks so beautiful ‘when we’re together’!

Hi Marcio. May I suggest you click on the tab “Orange is turning 1”, try the Search function or the following link:

Yes, another good one Jacki. Like Tim, I’m not qualified to analyse, but as they say, I know what I like, and oranges are very appealing!
-
By the way, there’s a sad footnote to their story. Tom Evans, their bass player, vocalist and song writer, also committed suicide in 1983. He never got over the loss of fellow band member and song writing collaborator, Pete Ham.

Welcome aboard Ademir. Yes, your country could do with a decent splash of ‘Orange’, just like mine across the Pacific from you. You’ll find plenty here to put a big smile on your face. Enjoy! I think most of us here are old so you are not alone. Mona and Lisa are giving us the chance to relive our youth. But do check out their original albums. They are superb and I have no doubt you will be very presently surprised, just like I have been and everyone else here.

And thanks for sharing Jacki. I don’t know anyone who could put it quite as artistically as you.
It’s nice to see that all the editing functions are now working. Things are happening in a very ordered way!

<p style=”text-align: left;”>I could never listen to the Eagles version. Probably because it was flogged so much on the radio they killed it for me. However, I love MLTs version. Yes Tim, that’s Lisa on lead vocals and guitar with some lead guitar help from Mona. Check out the video. Awesome!

<p style=”text-align: left;”>They actually met a Mexican who lent them his pick up truck and took them to the ‘dark desert highway’ they sought for the video.
-
Welcome Steve. Lots to see and do here. Amazing just how many musicians are members!

Hi Michaela
Nice to meet you.
I might have known you were looking after things. I tried hard to find something wrong and this is all I could come up with. I’ll have to work harder!
Is my location guide suitable or do you have some other preferred system? I’ll use bold in future. You’ll probably get any responses from Jacki in the form of a colourful poem. I feel like a fish out of water in this pond of artists!
Thanks so much for providing this wonderful club where we can meet fellow MLT supporters. I’m looking forward to my next bundle I’ve preordered for the 28 October release date. The team is going to be very busy!
Cheers

And not a bad guess Mike. I’m pretty sure Lisa is a Lennon fan although a bit cagey about it.
Hi mattroger59
if you check the following topic you’ll get a response from Lisa:
“When did you know that what you were doing was pretty special?”
Cheers

<p style=”text-align: left;”>Ah! Now that would be ‘Still a Friend of Mine’, the first single from the album, accompanied by a lovely video! Great number. I also love their ‘Bus Stop’ cover and am old enough to remember the first time I heard the Hollies original in 1966!

Yes, good idea!
I notice that they seem to release a new Christmas video around Christmas Eve each year. Maybe in a couple of years or so they’ll have enough material for an album, so not too much work for them all at once. Check out their YouTube Xmas videos!
