I like your thinking here Tomás. At the moment I have my phone defaulted to our old dial phone ringtone like the one in the MLTs “Won’t You Listen Now”.

I’d love to change it to a MLT song/s and would also be prepared to pay for a download from the “Store”.

    Are you listening now Lisa?

I just love Mona’s curly hair in the “Won’t You Listen Now” video. It reminds me of Shirley Temple. Now there’s an idea for another Topic!

I’m okay with this until a better option is found, but don’t think it needs to be a top priority. Thanks again for your consideration.

Thanks for sharing the ANTIPODES map David. On the one I looked up, being on the Eastern (Pacific) seaboard side of Australia, my city emerges closest to Córdoba and Seville in Spain. Either of those places would do me for a visit.

“Have you seen that clip?” Are you kidding John. I’ve seen every video of theirs that is currently available. This includes YouTube videos, concerts, radio station interviews and performances, Q&As etcetera. If i were you, I’d start with their 2007 concert YouTube videos and ‘California Dreaming’ videos and work my way forward chronologically to the present day. This should keep you busy for some time.

Attached is a video of the German song Mona and Lisa initially played at the international concert while at school in Adelaide.

You can find more information about their Adelaide stay at the following ‘Ask The MonaLisa Twins’ Topic:

Hi John. Really nice to have you in the Club. It’s especially nice to see another Australian in the Club, even though I’m 4,322 km by road away on the Eastern (Pacific) side of the country, in Brisbane.

I joined the Club soon after it opened and it instantly became my go to social media site. I’m active in the club in some capacity every day. There is much to do, see and hear and you will find the best people here too. When I discovered the MLT via YouTube, I stayed up all night finding out as much about them as possible.

You will find it interesting and informative to follow MLTs career (and pre career), from the very beginning. If you haven’t already, I suggest you start with their first public concert (2007), when they were just 13. Brilliant!

As I said, nice to have another Australian join the Club especially considering there are so many Americans here, and in particular, two Canadians who are very, active!

I’ve only visited Perth once, way back in 1997. The Twins would have been just three years old then, and so cute! i hope to get back to Perth again (via a stay in Adelaide), before I get too old. That one’s on my bucket list.

Welcome to the Club Faiz. I too was introduced to the MLT via their YouTube videos and joined the Club as soon as it opened. You will find much here to occupy your time and many like minded people to share it with.

I think this is a very interesting and informative documentary about Liverpool in 1963 and the beginnings of British beat groups that would eventually conquer the world.

After the Beatles – Beat City – Merseybeat TV Show – Liverpool 1963

    https://youtu.be/Gl96IqlVSLk

    Edward Hodson
“There is no sound for the first 1 minute 27 seconds. That’s because there is only a song playing throughout this; There’s A Place by The Beatles. There are no background sounds and it only ends when the host starts speaking. I thought I had sorted this out with the copyright algorithm on YouTube but apparently its muted the entire track. Beat City – Liverpool 1963.”

Hi Mike. This is not my Topic, but I have mentioned many Kinks songs, particularly in my Topic: ‘MLT – Cover Requests’, as follows, for example:

“Tired of Waiting for You would be nice but my preferred MLT cover would be for “Waterloo Sunset”, “Dedicated Follower of Fashion” or “Sunny Afternoon” (in their “Daydream” style perhaps).
I have also referred to the following. Lazy Sunday, Death of a Clown (Dave Davies), Days, Where Have All The Good Times Gone, A Well Respected Man,”

These are not the only Kinks songs I like of course. There are far to many to list here.

Welcome to the Club Bob. You are in good company here. I discovered the MLT by accident one night and now purchase  everything they produce. You will enjoy being here.

This is an ideal cover option for the MLT. They have shown what they can do with The Byrds’ sound in their first concert in 2007.

    The Byrds – Turn! & Rhymney & Mr.Tambourine Man – 10/29/65

“A very rare treat; as this is one of only TWO COMPLETELY LIVE performances that the “Original 5” ever did on TV. On the Ed Sullivan show “Turn!” was live, but “Mr. Tambourine Man” was lip synched. The original Byrds in all their glory, and their weaknessess, are on good display here. Exciting because it’s all live, and also quite “Jagged” & “Stiff” sounding, as the “Original 5” was never known for their “Tight Live Act”, the primitive sound systems of the day notwithstanding. Rough rythym section, Michael Clarke is playing the songs slow, Gene Clark is playing the tambourine without much sense of metre or time, etc. In Gene’s defense, I would say that he resented the Tambourine, after getting “Stuck” with it when Crosby took the guitar out of hands. EQUALLY wonderful are the AMAZING audience shots; capturing the fun, exuberance, and exhileration of a mid ’60’s rock concert. That’s what I’m talkin’ about, baby. This show was filmed on October 19, 1965, and was shown on TV in early 1966. A VERY HUMOUROUS scene comes at 5:09. As the camera pans past all the girls faces, not knowing quite how to react to this song about a Welsh coal mining disaster, and ends on the face of a jealous boyfriend! Capturing The Byrds at the peak of their influence, this is a wonderful, live look at pop history.”

Yes, that is David McCallum, one of the men from uncle introducing this set. A pity about the very grainy film. I think the Byrds would have survived better if once Dave Crosby left, they gave the rhythm guitar duties back to Gene Clark and allowed him more of the lead vocals. He had a much stronger voice than Roger McGuinn and this became evident when they first toured the UK. You can see the influence the Byrds had on later groups like Tom Petty (Heartbreakers), with the jangly sound of the Rickenbacker 60 12 string.

Hi Rudolf. Thank you for taking the time to look at this issue for me. My original concern was that the instructions stated that we needed to click on ‘My Account’ and as you can see from my previous posts (web page photos refer), my name appeared where ‘My Account’ should have appeared. I see this has now been rectified and the instructions now make more sense.

Thanks again for taking the time to investigate this for me. It will be very helpful information for those lucky 100 web subscribers who hopefully become continuing members.
