Well I’m with you on that one John as I too am more familiar with the Joan Baez version. Just tried Rod’s different version but Joan’s vocals more suited to the Twins.

Not sure if it’s the right one, but I found this clip. Brilliant!

Unfortunately I get the same message.
Don’t worry. I’ll do a YouTube search.

You keep choosing the wrong videos for me Jung. This is the message I get for your first video:

We were discussing ‘Four Strong Winds’. What’s in that Ottawa water Jacki?
I think when Jacki saw that Neil Young was singing, she must have muted the sound and got confused! LOL!

Jacki might be confused with the Seekers cover David. I don’t know why you guys find Neil Young’s voice annoying. I find it quite relaxing!
Just about everyone has recorded this song, well everyone except P & P & M it seems!

Now I know some of you may not like Neil Young’s nasally sounding voice (ahem! Jacki), but I’m sure you’ll at least appreciate the beautiful video pictures! It is a lovely song originally recorded by Canadian folk duo Ian and Sylvia and released in 1963.
Neil Young – Four Strong Winds
The song is performed on the last night of the Edmonton Folk Music Festival each year.

This brilliant musician was better known and accepted in Europe than his own country. I’m sure Lisa would love to have a crack at the acoustic guitar work from this live concert.
Willie Deville – “Mixed Up, Shook Up Girl”

Wolfgang Ambros – “Wahre Liebe” (Love Minus Zero/No Limit)

Rod Stewart – Forever Young (Official Video)

Well, there’s a lot of money to be made in children’s songs David. Just think what The Wiggles have achieved. And many top artists have had tunes come to them in their dreams, including Paul McCartney and Keith Richards. Keith Richards kept a cassette recorder beside his bed for just such occasions.

Jeff Buckley does a great, haunting cover of this song, but this old fart, firmly rooted in the sixties prefers the Manfred Mann version. Manfred Mann “Just Like A Woman” 1966 Video (dir John Crome).

‘Blowin’ In The Wind’ is a great pick, Jung. There are some Dylan songs that are actually best when Dylan sings them himself (ironically). However, how wonderful would it be to hear Mona and Lisa weave their own magic with this old classic that still holds up today!

John, that Cream concert is fantastic. I’ve watched it many times in the past. The Twins have done a Cream cover – ‘White Room’, on their Beatles And More vol 3 album, so it is within their ‘normal groove of covers’. Lisa is superb on guitar as usual!
