Of course Jung. Vivaldi is what I meant. I have much Vivaldi music. About three decades ago, during a severe bout of depression, Vivaldi, and in particular ”Winter”, from ”Four Seasons”, and some Mozart was the only music I could listen to!

Joe, you just picked another link that gives me the unavailable message. I hope you could open mine. It’s very late Downunder and my very sensible cat has been asleep on my bed for hours. Time for me to nod off too.
Good night!

I’m with you David. I think they’re okay in moderation but unfortunately some people on social media go overboard or use them inappropriately.
Jacki certainly knows how to use them appropriately!

A great Jagger/Richards composition with excellent Slide guitar work from Ry Cooder. Performance was the movie that drove Keith Richards to writing what I think was the Stones most powerful song “Gimme Shelter”.

I think you mean David, Joe.

Unfortunately Joe, I get the message “This video is unavailable”.What was it? I may be able to find it via another source.

My apologies Joe.
Lynn, have they ever recorded songs called Summer or Spring?

All we really know is what they have told us. They collaborate to decide who sings what and I’m sure Rudolf would have his input. They have also told us that Lisa tends to sing higher and Mona lower.

Member19/08/2020 at 12:09 in reply to: What’s Considered To Be Your Fave Go To ComfortFood/Drink!?I am well aware of that tea making ritual Jung. Very important, especially in winter and cold climates. However, mine goes a step further where once the tea has brewed, you turn the tea pot once clockwise and twice anti-clockwise (or is it the other way around). Also, if drinking with milk, you add the milk first. If you add the milk last, the hot water scalds it, affecting the flavour. And yes, this has all been scientifically proven!

“Also it’s good to have someone hold you accountable to practise things that are on the boring side but necessary.” Surely Lisa Wagner doesn’t need anyone to be held accountable!
Now why am I thinking of that bad report that poor Mona received at High School? However, I must say that teacher of yours had absolutely no sense of humour and I’m sure I would have also got a bad report.

Member19/08/2020 at 07:39 in reply to: What’s Considered To Be Your Fave Go To ComfortFood/Drink!?I haven’t sweetened any of my drinks since my early twenties. However, you don’t have a choice when buying commercial iced teas.
As for drinking hot tea, no different to drinking hot coffee in winter. However, we always say a cup of tea is refreshing, especially in summer, because it brings the sweat out in you and that is what creates the cooling effect.
All this talk about tea has made me determined to start the tea making rituals again. Tea drinking is a real ritual in places like Japan.
There is a special tea I use in my filtered drinking water. I add it to a litre bottle of water each day, it is full of excellent antioxidants (137x that of regularly brewed green tea), vitamin B Complex, magnesium and calcium. I highly recommend it. It comes in powdered form in sachets and in various flavours. Probably too healthy for you David as it has zero sugars!

I argued this point early on in the Club and got it hopelessly wrong. I no longer try to pigeon hole them as they don’t pigeon hole themselves. When making the decision on who will sing lead, it doesn’t seem to be anything to do with who sang the original. What they do is both sing the song and then they decide which is the best fit. This process seems to work well for them and always suits me fine.

Member19/08/2020 at 06:51 in reply to: What’s Considered To Be Your Fave Go To ComfortFood/Drink!?We have plenty of flavoured iced teas in Australia (Lemon, Lemon/Lime, passionfruit, pineapple, strawberry, mango etcetera), which we mainly drink in summer, but I have never seen your “Pure Leaf” tea before.
My go to tea these days is Matcha tea. A little more expensive than other teas but worth the extra. I can recommend it and well worth doing some research for the health benefits.
From Wikipedia:
“Matcha is finely ground powder of specially grown and processed green tea leaves, traditionally consumed in East Asia. It is special in two aspects of farming and processing: the green tea plants used for matcha are shade-grown for three to four weeks before harvest, and the stems and veins are removed during processing. During shaded growth, the plant Camellia sinensis produces more theanine and caffeine. The powdered form of matcha is consumed differently from tea leaves or tea bags, as it is suspended in a liquid, typically water or milk.”

Hi Bill. Your name has just inspired me to create a new Topic, which I am already working on, and it’s got nothing to do with Bill wyman!
As for your reply, the songs “If you really want to be my friend” and “Big Girls Don’t Cry”, aren’t about little or big sisters. The Stones song though is a nice number from probably the last of their great albums, and I think the last with Mick Taylor.
My favourite Four Seasons’ song is “Rag Doll”. Amazing harmonies and some great lyrics too.
I hope you are doing well. I’ve been enjoying your contributions to the Club Forum.
