To me , the song is about a personal destination, etc…. I believe the song itself, is open for however one wishes to interpret it, what resonates , for me, it’s not a definite message being conveyed , perhaps with Team MLT, it is from their perspective but I do see the song as open interpretation , where it has different meaning for all, that is my 2 cents worth on this…no specific right or wrong….all listen to it and feel the vibe that resonates for you … 🤘🏻🫶✌️

    In/From /My 2 cents worth /view/perspective/opinion ….

If One is Truly Gifted, There’s no need to go into competitions, the likes… They truly Embrace and have utmost confidence and know their worth, etc… and it’s up to folks(fans-music listeners ) to genuinely want to Embrace the Real Deals and not get caught-up in the manufacture/controlling, etc circus of the mudic industry in today’s music landscape and what these music companies, TV shows entail of …. lacking thereof unlike how it was back in old school ways of things…. 🤘🏻☮️

It was my late parent’s 61st Wedding AnniLUVersary on Friday , and so I went on Saturday to cemetery with purple flowers for Mother’s Day and had a reflective, peaceful visit with them…

My late Mom was one Special Woman, Proud That She was my Mom to myself, 2 older brothers ….

Like Jung, I have thoughts/memories today of her, writing a few poems of her, etc

Also wishing Michaela a Happy (Step) Mother’s Day as it’s celebrated today in North America

To All Moms out there or Mom-like Figures in one’s Life, this day is to celebrate/acknowledge you…

    🤘🏻😊🪻💜

Sadly , as with Jung and anyone else who has experience of going through this with loved ones, I too, have, and “WWL” Profoundly, Poignantly resonates with me …

Sadly my late Dad after having a major stroke a few months after Mom passed, along with his other health issues, ongoing up until he passed on my birthday years later, became prone to, had multiple post ministrokes /seizures of sorts , left him with a form of dementia, though he knew who we all were , only once did he actually remember Mom having passed on ( we never mentioned that to him in case it triggered another setback ) , he had no time concept, no idea where was, in terms of tge LTC nursing home , in his mind he was at some hotel at some Nascar race somewheres in the USA , in Daytona or whatever on the Nascar circuit or in Oswego, NY at Modified race track he’d been going to a few times in a year , for as long as I recall, up until his health couldn’t handle it. It was like his mind had paused on a certain time frame, all things familiar to him, from a certain time, remained clear in his mind while sadly, other things, no more, his long term memory somewhat affected, short term affected….

That was hard to see him this way, even when we took him out to our our oldest brother’s home for Xmas/Thanksgiving/Easter, he had no clue anymore on the area he once drove through many a time, it was all new to him now, he didn’t even miss driving but before it got real bad, after recovering somewhat from first major stroke, he was still driving, until seizures….doctor had to take away his license, got depressed, as driving was his love …then his mind determined where tgat was no longer the case, but enjoyed being in a car, seeing sights, didn’t bother him no more that he couldn’t drive, just enjoyed the ride …

I’m seeing that being done alot now on YouTube videos of stuff of the past, I’m seeing it done to photos, etc…. it’s a unique concept, one can certainly let their imagination go wild and/or try and actually authenticate of what the true colour of said subjects in photos, etc based on references from family sources, perhaps film footage, etc … it’s quite fascinating , to me …

Indeed a sad day for Canadians, a sad day for the Canadian Music Scene, I grew up on listening to his songs on radio and tv appearances, he even recorded a voicing of a song/poem on a recent Glass Tiger Xmas album …Indeed an iconic Canadian Music Legend, who’s left behind a plethora of beautiful heartfelt, diverse, rich music gifted to us all to embrace.

Perhaps in the future, Team MLT could tackle a song or two of his, feature his music on a WOTT episode … RIP Gordon Lightfoot 😔🇨🇦🍁🤘

Not sure if Hammond or not was used but the collaboration album of Cass Elliot with Dave Mason has that sound on a few songs …if I’ve already replied to this thread with this input, my apologies…I can’t keep track …lol…

I did like Whitney Houston over Celine ….Whitney ‘s Mom had sung backup on a few of Dusty Springfield ‘s earlier recordings …. did you also know Dionne Warrick is related to Whitney …

I agree with the things you said here in the reply to me …🤘🏻

Celine was born in Quebec …she is the youngest out of 14-16 ….

I’m not a fan much if gers…only like a few songs…not keen on her personality/stuck up attitude in my opinion, sorry to say but that’s what I think of her…why I’m not a fan.. Yes, she has a singing voice…just not keen on her …. This is only my opinion, you may respectively agree/disagree ….

Yes Tom, that would be good but I think any song from his legacy, could be tackled , in my thinking , equally….

Hi there David …I also mentioned in my reply about how Team MLT could possibly cover Gordon’s songs… we must be all on same thinking wavelength here …. I grew up listening to Gordon ‘s stuff on radio, watched/heard him on TV as well …. Definitely a Canadian Iconic Legend …. He was so proud to be Canadian, and he will be missed but gifted us all with a wonderful Music Legacy, that is timeless, poignant, profound …🇨🇦🍁🤘🏻
