Member03/11/2019 at 21:27 in reply to: The rivalry between two great 60's bands that would shape music foreverLol… I’m finding this debate of differentiating opinions between both Howard and Jung kind of amusing… As long as it doesn’t get to the point of disrespect and nasty towards each other as I can see both of you are of quite fierce strong minded thinking and of opinions… I’m of that way myself… When I whole – heartedly all believe in something, I will stand by it quite stubbornly and not giving up my stand… Lol
What I will say is, and this is of my own opinion and stand by it… While I’m for everyone having their own opinions, I don’t necessarily believe that one is better or more correct than not, yes, everyone is quite entitled to their own opinions/thoughts/conclusions on things and it’s fine to respectfully disagree.
Also, remember as well, everyone’s perceptions of things they see/hear/read may be interpretated differently by others . While I like a healthy postive argument /debate, it’s quite easy to have it get out of hand because of the way it was interpretated though it was perhaps not meant to. That was my 2 cents worth for the day ?

Hi Jurgen, Welcome and nice to meet you, enjoy the MLT Club here and all the MLTBuzzing Groovy that goes with it!
-
I do love Joan Jett’s “I Love R&R”… and I’ve always enjoyed the original ” Crimson and Clover” song… I could envision MLT’s takes on these…. The only song I even remotely can tolerate of Miley (formerly known as Destiny Hope) Cyrus singing is her cover of Dolly Parton’ s “Jolene”… Lol…

Lol… May I add my 2 cents worth before I head off to bed as I work at 9am Saturday morning and almost midnight now on Friday…
About the vocabulary, etc, slang terminologies from around the world, well between Canada, USA, UK, Australia,… It’s funny how each of these areas have their own words to define things yet in other countries, mean differently… Canada has some…. Just too tired name but I know “Double-Double” is commonplace here (A Tim Hortons running code gag for coffee/tea drinkers when ordering….)… Another Canadian icon fave saying of mine belonged to a character named Red Green (Steve Smith)… Who would say, something along the lines of, “Keep Your Stick On The Ice… Etc”.. Another character I loved Charlie Farquarson (Don Herron), had some humdinger ascwell as Willy and Floyd, Delmer and Cecil… All Canadian characters on Tv/Radio…. Gnite EH ??

Hey All you NY State MLT Buzzers… Maybe one day we could meetup… It’s more probable for you to come to Ottawa area than for me to go there…. Lol… You are all about 2-3hrs drive from me… Also… You should try and meetup amongst yourselves too… That would be awesome… ?

OK.. Adding my Hallowern’s Poetical Worth:
” The Groovy Gals of Halloween Keen”
At the stroke of midnight
They come fully alive
Their moment of waiting to emerge
Does arrive
Spooking and haunting
Yet BOOtiful
And sense of humour a tad wicked and macbre
But in good fun
To concur
Each one when perhaps vengeful
The evil reigns free
As to which offers more sinisterism
Well that’s key
To the ongoing mystery
The answer
While remains to be fully seen
The love of this day they have
As we have all witnessed true
The Soul and Spirit
Captured in exquisite costumes
And makeup
To offer not a mundane transformation shakeup
No in between
Only indeed
The Groovy Gals of Halloween Keen…

For those not familiar with what Crokinole is:

Lol… Jung beat me to it for replying about download link thing re: Xmas CD…. Hopefully both Jung and I will receive ours soon too as we both live in Canada, opposite ends mind you.
Paul: As for the “Across the Pond” reference, that too applies to Canada…. I often refer to saying that to friends/family who live in UK and abroad…. Lol…
As for the Mona & Lisa Songs References… It could go on and on indefinitely…. Lol

Thankyou Skip for sharing photo of Groovified prized – MLT Musical Xmas Gems…
And while on topic of music and Australia and MLT…. Lol… May I add my 2 cents blurb here:… In terms of songs… There’s Nat King Cole’s ” MonaLisa” song and then there is “I’m Not Lisa… Etc” by Jessi Colter (Waylon Jenning’s wife)… I have yet to come across a “Mona “song… There’s a LISA Street and MONA street in Ottawa??? here… Lol… And for a kind of Quirky music/comedy act from either Austealua/NZ, it’s the Topp Twins… And Canada has it’s own indie music set of twins: Tegan & Sara… Lol…. Your posting replies here between you and Darryl made me think of the songs and Topp Twins and Tegan and Sara… Lol
