Howard, your reply, though not quite funny to me, I do have a minor hearing impairment and certain tones and pitches do legitimately annoy me to listen to, and Neil Young ‘s singing voice is one of those annoyances, veven as kid, couldn’t tolerate his voice, as for the FoyrvStrong Winds thing, it was mentioned somewheres on here or in another post and I had that song then stuck in my mind when replying to David, and my eyesight is not the best either though I wear glasses, I have a glaucoma type issue due to eye pressure and I sometimes cannot wear my glasses to see screen as I seem to see better without but am almost kissing my phone to do so.. and thus my eyesight not always accurate without them
Also, I’m more familiar with Rod’s version of Forever Young rather than Joan’s… Lol… Remember I’m 50, just a whippersnapper amongst you fellas……

Ahem, Howard… Lol… Yes, the scenery is far more pleasant than Bob’s Nasally Vocal Annoyance… And I outright prefer Ian and Sylvia’s version, always have and will, while P&P&M’s version comes 2nd in my preferences…

Thankyou to both Skip and Jung… That just came fresh off the top of my head….PS– Skip:Deal….!!

I once tried to write a song, at least lyric wise…. And kinda had a tune for it on my head, I hummed out the tune while I had written it, I was in my late teens I think… It was called “The Memory of The Red Rose”… I still have it written down somewheres in a journal book in amongst storage of my stuff from I have from when we sold our house that I took with me and still have….

Speaking of Dylan, lol… And I agree… Love his songs just not him singing, his singing voice annoys me to no end… Lol… David hit the jackpot on that… Anyways, this new topic posting Howard started here, reminded me of this pub kinda place downtown Ottawa, well, the outside of it. I have a photo I took, awhile ago of it…. I’ll share photo here when I find it… Lol…. In the meantime, name of place is Pour Boy

Here’s a photo I took of the place:

OK…Jolene by Dolly Parton, I can quite visualize and hear Mona and Lisa doing this with their own spin on it… Maybe Lisa can do lead on this one… Lol… or Fleetwood Mac’s (Stevie Nicks) Landslide one and I could see them doing other covers in country/folk /rock…. Their voices have that rare gift of doing any genre and make it their own, even in covers, but yet at same time maintaining the original essences of the original…

A Belated Welcome–EH?! John…. I only found in the last few years that the O Canada song actually has 4-6 verses in length but the 1 and 2 verses are what are sung most and known for…. Just a bit o Canadian Trivia Fer ya – – EH, I’m glad you enjoy both my postings and Jung’s !!

Well Howard let me explain better… I was half awake when I posted that earlier this morning… I’ve only been on motorcycles twice and the one time almost cost me either death or broken bones but luckily didn’t…. We were at a friend’s of my parents place and one their other friends were there, been drinking and decided to take me down the farm lane way for a spin, I was young, didn’t know guy was drunk otherwise I’d never got on motorcycle, he wiped out on road near end of lane way, we both flew off bike… Now you can understand my comment previously a bit more clearly now…. I hope….

OK… To put in my 2 cents worth on here, I’ve only ever been on 2 motorcycles in my life, the one time could of killed me but Thankfully I and the idiot driver were soared to live this ending my liking for motorcycle riding thereafter but I still luv them Harleys… Especially Black and Purple or Black and Fuschia Pink or a combo of all 3 colours….
I love vintage cars and trucks from 1900s-1970s more specifically in the 1900s – 60s eras
I like Hot Rods, Ferrari /Lamborghini… Etc
Apparently my first word I had said that is written as a record of it in my baby book was indeed…. Car… Lol…. And the irony in that is… I don’t have nor will I probably ever get my driver’s license… I was never quite keen on that idea when I was 16… I was happy being in a car as a passenger…. #1: I’m too short to drive car properly without having specific modifications to drive safely, #2: I tend to have short attention span and lose focus easily and get easily distracted by whatever… Yes, once in awhile I do wish I had learned to drive but then that moment passes as quickly as it comes… Happy walking, taking bus, train, someone else driving me…. Lol…
I did enjoy driving our lawn tractor (riding lawn mower) and of course my Dad/Grandpa’s Farmall Cub International Harvester Tractor Model????? around the property/yard of our house and in field across from our house at the time… Only driving for fun, not to cut the grass…. Lol…. I almost hit a tree with lawn tractor going between slow-fast thus further proof that I’m only meant to enjoy cars from a distance, by passenger view and admiring cars… Just not to drive…. Lol… That’s what you get when one is 4 foot 6 ish approximately tall in height, such as I… My late Mom could drive, she was about 4’10–4’11. Her feet could just safely reach peddles when her seat was pulled to as close to steering wheel as it could go…
If you want a really goid sense visually of how I would drive…. Remember the one scene in Ferris Bueller ‘s Day Off movie (I think it was from this movie), it’ s the scene where all you see is just the top half of old lady’s beehive hairdo driving at steering wheel… Lol, that would describe me at driving best!!!!

No Howard, I’ve not and you are correct… I Do Not drink any alcoholic beverages at all… Just my tea, Canada Dry/Schweppes Ginger Ale, Choco milk.

With all due respect Howard, I’m respecting Team MLT’s Guidelines about not to discuss religion or politics (even if it’s song related) and refraining from further replying to this particular posting.

Hi David: My apologies and you are correctYin that there are no P&P&M versions/YT versions of the song, I was getting it confused with this one so here’s a link I chose : though not correct”WIND” song… Lol…. I had 4 Strong Winds on my mind instead of “Blowing In The Wind”

Howard, Susan was married to Terry and she actually was more known /associated with The Poppy Family….
