Thankyou both Jung and Howard for your commentary on this poem in particular… I watched their video, and then the next thing you know.. This is what gets conjured up from within my mind…
As for the next Bowie song perhaps MLT may tackle next… No idea, I only have Bowie’s ” Let’s Dance” album, whereas my 2 nd older bro probably has earlier Bowie stuff in his album collection, to which I was happily exposed to growing up as we’re 3 years apart in age but share similar music tastes and my oldest bro is 6 yrs older and has a more distinctive music taste = Country/Southern Rock/ Boston stuff…. As to what MLT perhaps might consider tackling next up in Bowie’s Music Legacy, who knows but I’m quite positive in saying it will be fab rendition, their own touch but yet keeping with integrity of the original, Intertwining both so complimentary…

Now that you mention it, a guitar part in Tracy Chapman’s Fast Song is very similar /copied from a John Mellencamp song Jack and Diane where I hear the same /quite similar guitar part and thought of who stole from who?!… There’s probably more songs in the 70’s – present time in all genres where this is /has happened and a year or two ago there was a case about a Marvin Gaye’s song in question or someone…. An interesting topic to discuss…. That’s my 2 cents worth for now.

Lol… Well this topic kinda just flew over my non-musician tech minded ears and mind and eyes…. As I don’t listen to much classical nor do I read music hardly at all, and Math and I never got along but I do understand your explanation where MLT comes into the equation, and find your thoughts interesting though I don’t fully understand the musicianship tech aspect of it… Lol

This topic made me remember about hearing /reading when I was in my late teens – 30s about the time John and Yoko came to Ottawa, it was around the time of their famous Bed-In thing, and I missed seeing Sir Paul when he came to perform in Ottawa awhile ago, could not afford the tix to go, and then one year at the ol SuperEx days we had in Ottawa, it was an Elvis Presley anniversary photo exhibit of his only Ottawa performance back in the day to which I had no idea of before I saw the exhibit at SuperEx.
Another Ottawa born performer, Paul Anka, I had not known until I was in my teens was from Ottawa, and I’m not sure what happened exactly but he never played in Ottawa hardly at all once he became famous, he has since though come back a couple of times for charity or specific function/documentary filming. This topic just reminded me of these things….. Great topic btw…!!

No Howard… Lol…. I stand by opinion, no hair influence… To me they do look similar in their faces and therefore I am convinced that they are related somewheres down the line…. Distant cousins but related… And that is my last view on that, you have your thoughts, as I have mine… Lol

Hi Howard, Thanks for your info but I’m still in disagreement with you and am Hell Bent that both Ron and Rod are related, I can see the resemblances in their faces, and I know other folks have thought the same as me (not from here) and so, you have your opinion as I have mine and we’ll leave it at that…Lol…. But to be fair, I did learn some stuff in your info provided that I wasn’t aware of so it works out… Lol!!

Well now, I’m thoroughly enjoying all viewpoints going on with this hot topic…. Wow….. I’m impressed by the research and knowledge presented here, and it’s quite alright to agree/disagree and to do so, respectfully as done by here… Yes, there will always acts that are better/not/in the middle/ undecided –in that can’t pinpoint exactly where they would go and all are free to choose their choices and voice their opinions as such.
This topic has certainly generated alot of Spink and I’ve learned stuff I wasn’t aware of and/or bands/groups/solo folks that I’ve forgotten about. It’s all good, Thankyou… You make my mind /eyes work overtime… Lol…!!!!

Hi Tomas…. I had always wondered if Ron Wood and Rod Stewart were related as they do look alike…. Turns out they are related, as I had read somewheres and it said so… Lol… Just thought you’d enjoy that tidbit in case you did not know…!
