While on this San Fransico topic, I do have Scott MacKenzie’s CD with this song on it, I do like his version but favour MLT’s more…
Also for awhile, I was communicating back and forth on Scott’s FB page he had and on FB Msgr before he had passed away… Funny guy he was, he enjoyed my commentary and poems I’d write to try to brighten up his days some. I sincerely think that he would of groovingly enjoyed MLT’s take on this song!

Good Q Jung and love Lisa’s reply….
I’d like to share a Beatlemania Memory… Thanks in part to my 2nd oldest brother and his funky cool Grade 5 teacher who was a huge Beatles fan….. Thanks to her, I belueve that’s how my 2nd oldest bro got into Beatles in which turn I did, but then again, Mom was a Beatles fan…. Lol
OK, back to the memory… One night during the school year, This Grade 5 teacher with her love for The Beatles decided to have her class do a Beatles Appreciation concert. I think all the Grade 5s/6s at the school had to do a concert or something, I don’t recall my Grade 2 class doing anything… So
that night they did a whole slew of Beatles stuff… Oba Di Obla Da stands out clearly in my mind… I enjoyed it as much as Mom did, don’t think Dad or my oldest brother came, I don’t recall for sure but I vividly remember that concert and loving it… Now as a bonus… Fast fwd 35-40 yrs later at a special school closure event that I found out about through a former school him who happened to be the bank teller I was dealing with doing my banking and she recognized me and told me… I went and low and behold… That now retired Beatles loving teacher was there…. Lol so I went up to her and told her my 2nd oldest brother was in her class and I recall the Beatles concert she had the class do… She laughed and sort of remembered… She was more impressed of the fact I remembered….

Well, for me, I can’t really choose… So I’m going to have to say All Equally but instrumentally, I will say though, there is one song that has a slight resonation for me…. Smoke On The Water…. Lol…. Like I said, All Are Equal in my mind and heart….. I just can’t bring myself to honestly choose but for whatever reason, the instrumentation on that one song…. You enjoy pushing the challenging button when it comes to your Qs…. But it is a great Q!!

The good ol days of hifi stereos, the stereos that came in what looked a long dresser but had lift up door to where then find records and record player inside….. The 8 track tapes Era… Ghettoblaster/Boombox Era…. Portable turntables from the 50s/60s…the old crank up gramophone, jukeboxes, transit er radios, Walkman, I still use a Discman and… I own a cassette tape player/CD player /AM-FM all in one player(It’s not my original one… My actual cassette tape /AM/FM Player gave up the ghost years back…)…. I do have a portable DVD/CD player I sometimes use for my CDs to play on and a separate CD/DVD player thing to use with my old ancient netbook….. I even still have moreso for putting collectibles of knick knacks and dustbunnues gathering,… An actual even more ancient computer concept…. Tower on with both floppy disc drive and a CD Rom drive… 2nd hand given to me years ago….. Lol
I also still have the last modern at the time stereo system we had bought before the Dept store we bought it at went out of business back in the day, it was a record player with a cassette tape deck and stereo and CD system…
I ‘ve always dreamt to own an old vintage jukebox be it a Wurluzter or something else…. One can dream… The above screenshot is kibda like the old ancient stereo system we had up until we got a more modern one of the day and had that modern one until our last modern one, the one I still own,….

Lol… I don’t really care much for the majority of music type played on it but I like the radio personalities….
The other radio stns, that I’ll hear music from depends where I’m at, Tim Hortons, or another coffee/tea Cafe, grocery stores, shopping malls, once in awhile a city bus driver will have their own portable radio or…. I’ll get aboard a bus where the bus driver sings, yes you heard correctly, his repertoire is limited… Lol… Has a great voice but he keeps singing same songs over and over anytime I happen to be going on a bus and he’s the driver… As soon as he starts singing, I recognize it’s him…. Lol… There are the odd other singing bus drivers but he ‘s more known for….
I listen mostly to MLT, Glass Tiger, and a few others in my CDs as well as my old school classics of different genres I grew up with as I was influenced by the records my parents had, my older siblings had, what radio stns we had on in the house or car/truck…..
I just know awesome music when I hear it and thoroughly enjoy!!

Hi Tomas, and Thankyou for the interesting article you’ve shared and I agree with you…. It’s important that Team MLT continues to be on the path and approach that they’ve been doing as it has successfully been serving them well and I can’t really ever see them become a record label commodity… It’s just not for them, that is, cannot see them doing so… To have the creative freedom and own set of rules and business procedures as opposed to ” what is in the contract that must abided by, etc” and though yes, this approach requires more workload and so forth to make it all happen, and yes some snags are bound to come along but at the end of the day, they can take pride in knowing they’ve worked hard to creating something they love, understand, believe in. The bonus is, that their persistence and gut instincts to follow their own tune of thinking and doing, is harvesting musical appreciation returns from top notch musicians and fans globally who have had an open mind and heart to give a listen and give MLT a chance and to show old and new music can co exist if done with the right ingredients for a music recipe that will bake to a delicious tune with aromatic tastebuds to satisfy the music hungering for all that crave and want a tasting of musical Bliss…

Whoops… I should have said.. I Don’t take my Lack of /Limited music abilities very seriously… I know I’m not the greatest but am Contented with what I can and know how…
My inspiration came from my late Mom… She should of been a professional singer in a band or solo… Even after her detrimental stroke… Her ability to still him in perfect tune/pitch though she could not speak properly anymore but she could say”Doo.. Lalala, etc”alongside songs she’d hear on TV or radio or at music stuff going on /Xmas party for residents and family in the sun room on her longterm hospital floor. When she was well I often told her she should of been a singer… (Perhaps secretly it was her unfulfilled dream)
One of my childhood dreams was to be a singer or in a band… Lol… I have an aunt who is a church organist, one of my older siblings self taught himself guitar, I had a late uncle who could play almost any instrument…. I have got brave and sung a few times at Karaoke… The last time I did do Karaoke. I did do”I Saw Her Standing There ” and a few other different songs by different folks but” I Saw Her “got a few whistles and loudest applause… Lol

Lol… Roger… I did post a couple wks ago on here a video clip of myself playing the Bongos I had borrowed from the library through their Music Instrument sharing program while MLT music was playing so I could play along with the songs…. I do have a few other video clips from yrs ago of myself singing along with MLT and doing my tambourine /harmonica attempts to play along…. Sort of… Lol… I’m not great at it by no means but I had fun doing it… I don’t take my myself or my musical abilities too seriously…..
-
Well… I picked up my uke I had on hold from library… Actually this is uke #2… The other had a sting break on me… I guess I tightened just a tad too much… I returned it to library and they had put a hold on another to which I got next day or two later…
Now… What I’m starting to realize/wonder are these 2 things :
#1~. I’m wondering if I’m genetically malfunctioned at the capacity to strum and play the chords like you are supposed to do on guitar /ukes… And I’m not quite understanding the uke chords chart…. Though I understand what I see/watch (I’m a visual learner best) in regards to playing the uke basics… For whatever reasons… My brain and fingers can’t seem to co-ordinate together as should to make the sound and playing the chords doable…
#2–I had better luck at playing the Bongos, tambourine, harmonica, etc… These instruments require more to do a single focus upon them… Hit the drums, play with hand, etc. Not having to try doing 2 different things at same time… Lol…
Though, without using chords on uke frets, I was able to finger pluck on uke Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star as sang out just those 4 words sort of….
#3~ Though I’ve no clue what key or note is what, I seem to grasp better playing by ear/seeing how to play… Lol
That sums up my uke journey thus far… I’ll continue to putter at it the way I am doing… Lol… Maybe not correctly but for me, it works…I have the library uke for 3wks loan…
Perhaps I’ m better to stick to air uke-air guitar/drumming and just continue with singing somewhat half decent, fiddle around on my tambourine and my other wood type exotic percussion instruments and maybe one day pull out my Purple uke and give it a go…. Rather use library uke to practice on…. Lol
Call me weird and unconventional in my methods but for me, it works best!!

Had spent last 8 yrs of his life in a nursing home and as with others on here and globally whom have heard this song, the connecting effect it has is just incredible and powerful.
