I have a Great-Aunt who had her 108th Birthday back in the summer ( my late Grandma ‘s Baby Sister, youngest of all of her siblings , outlines them all ) and was on local news to be acknowledged of her Milestone Age….physically not good, now uses a wheelchair but her mind…still vivid/active , a few repetitive here and there but sharp

Wow…I don’t believe I’ve ever been to a Rave ….. But I did go to a non alcoholic dance club a few times, to my high school video dance parties ( MuchMusic , I think sponsored them )in my teens in the 80s ….in the 1990s to bars to dance in my 20s/30s , but I drank Pop as I don’t drink alcohol at all, never have/will ….. That’s Dab you ventured out to experience that …. 🤘🏻👍🏻👌😎

Also to add….Dusty Springfield had dabbled in playing drums a little and guitar earlier in her career….There are photos/video of her doing so ….the Bangles/Go-Gos are another example of great Drumming…. and you’re correct in the past posting where I mentioned about ” STOMP ” ….

Cool Daryl… Congrats…Whereabouts was Guitar made at ?!

Here’s a picture of me from a few yrs back, trying to play a banjo which I borrowed from the public library music instrument program that certain branches offer here in my neck of woods….The one branch that offers is close by to me ……

I enjoy percussion stuff and oddly enough , find it easier to play around on percussion stuff rather than trying with no success on grasping Guitaring …My Brain/Hand/Eye-Co-ordination-Connection thrives better with percussion … Here’s a photo still of me tackling a samba bongo (name might be incorrect of drum type ) that I had borrowed for a couple of wks from The Public Library Music Instrument Loan Program certain branches offer here in my city, one branch being a hop, skip, jump away from me , this photo from a few yrs ago …

Though as you know , I’m not into or a fan of classical music….. just not my cup of music tea , but will say how , in sorts to concur what magic music therapy has/does is something rare and wonderful .

My late Mom suffered a major brain hemorrhage damaging stroke back around 1986-87ish post surgery and basically became a vegetable of sorts to a degree inn that she could not do anything, right side/speech and not sure what all else was affected that we couldn’t tell besides the obvious in speech/paralyzation, etc yet her ability to hear a song off the radio/tv/nurse singing/humming or when someone came to the LTC hospital to sing/play piiano/guitar where Mom resided last 10 yrs of life before she passed in 1995, Mom’s ability to be able to hum, or sing in gibberish but be in perfect tune alongside what she heard, remained in tact, though not able to sing actual words but recognized tunes and went along accordingly… That always amazed /struck a chord with me… How that happened, why it remained in tact, Thankfully it did. Pre-Stroke/Surgery, at home she always sung around house, and I often told her she should sing professionally ….. yes, I truly believe in the magical impact of music therapy , no matter the genre … 🤘🏻🎼🎵🎶

Thanks for your feedback on origins of where Guitar was made/manufactured from…. as for banjo… I couldn’t play it if ya paid me.. I was just fooling around on UT…pretending to pick style ….lol… I just can’t play any stringed family of instruments …I’m better off with fooling around on percussion stuff, like tambourine, dabble on harmonica, piano, triangle, Singing is more my kind of successful thing I can somewhat master ….lol …but I enjoy Air -Guitaring/Drumming/Piano/Harmonica because I do better at pretending than the real deal … 🤘🏻🙃

Hi Jurgen…No, I just enjoy playing around, for fun , conjuring up rhythms , tunes in my head and/or try to play along by ear if I’m listening …I cannot read music/understand the theories of music…I’m more of being a ” play by ear ” type …

In elementary school, there was singing classes where we sung songs out of Grade Specific Songbook Series … and/or photocopies of typed out lyrics/music of songs chosen by Music Class Teacher … I did take part in being in a choir I think it was in Grades 6-8 ….. and tried to be in a music class in high school, tried to play trumpet, failing class, rather in music teacher’s eyes, I was an imbecile idiot for being in his class but I had to take a music class in high school…it was compulsory-mandatory… That whole experience put me off wanting to learn any instrument… I like to now play around on instruments that I enjoy … but singing is my main thing 🤘🏻🎼🎵🎶
