Well, as a kid in the 70s, on Canadian TV, I got introduced to The Irish Rovers because of the weekly TV show program they had on CBC, I think it was, but my favorite segment was the Leprechaun skits… always fairytale like, and the movie “Never Ending Story”, with Limahl singing the theme song which I have the 45 of, and there are others , but these come to mind in particular for me ????♀️

Throughout being in MLT Club, and stuff I’ve learned from others may I say vast and varied from music history, etc, stories from other members, creative gifts, even when one is not a full fledged musician (ahem, that’s me, kinda half smart on that end) but the encouragement is there shining, the respectable difference of opinions, etc, always something new learned on here daily, Thankyou All, indeed a fab #MLTBuzzLuvGroovified Experience All in All ????☮

Great topic idea Bill…not quite sure what I’d ask… I’d be a tad nervous but once I’d ask the Qs, get going….I be fine …lol…
This would be a cool contest idea… Have Team MLT put all MLT Club members names into Owl Bag , and draw 2-5 names or however many to cover time zone areas of the planet and the lucky members whose names were chosen could interview them….

Hi Bill, Maddie ….Canada is awesome too in the Autumn season and where I live, if I’m the bus heading downtown, especially along the Ottawa River Parkway , you can see the beautiful array of Autumn Colour Abundance in its prime looking over in the Gatineau, Quebec mountains or if downtown Ottawa, going along or nearby Colonel By Drive along the Rideau Canal, or in my neck of neighborhood woods where I live, again, Autumn colour splendor and pretty much outside Ottawa area and in other parts of Ontario, like Kingston, Perth, etc, as well as in Quebec province….lovely splendor…fond memories of going for weekend drives with Dad and it would be spectacular scenery when in full splendor ????????????

And I can speak abit of Italian /read it and of course, I learn swear words no problem in Italian…lol…no issues there in pronunciation….lol

Well, I’m confessing to a few speech impediments I have in pronouncing certain words and letters in words such as in Massachusetts… I say rather “????s” at the end for I cannot pronounce the “sch’s” …lol… and along with a few other words, it’s like a tongue tied twister for my mouth to correlate pronunciation properly of the words … Part of my learning disability I struggled with throughout my school years and now still… just certain words still can’t say properly….

I love the Beverly Hillbillies , watched reruns as a kid, own a few VHS/DVDs of some of the shows, Sharon Tate had appeared in a few episodes as different characters… Some years back there was a an awesome film made, well, in my opinion, it was and had the best casting, for the characters with Buddy Ebsen appearing as Barnaby Jones character in it, did you know that Buddy Essen was cast as original TinMan in W. Of OZ movie before he had to ditch role due to an almost fatal allergic reaction to the makeup used and the other guy took over the part (the guy’s name escapes me just now)

Member12/10/2021 at 15:52 in reply to: MonaLisa Twins, absolutely beautiful, absolutely amazing talent! In full agreement of what’s been mentioned here and I’d like to add my 2 cents worth, that 14 yrs ago when I happily stumbled upon them on YT , whilst looking for out of curiosity for a half decent Mamas and Papas cover of ” California Dreamin “, well … when their cover version came on, from the get -go I was drawn to them, loved them instantly, something of their essences, or whatever it is, caught my attention right away, knew I was going to love their other music and decided right then and there to become a lifetime fan … and I’m going to say this, they are but of a rare awesome selection few in today’s music landscape that truly know what they’re doing, being genuine in their musicianship, doing things their own way independently with full control , not about caving in to be a made up image according to demand of record companies, etc, not sounding fake, etc… They are the Real Deal and there’s not many musicians out there in today’s landscape that I care to listen to, the rare some that I do enjoy in different genres and/or are their new / old schoolstuff from them. MLT have that beautiful bestowment distinction of appealing to All Age brackets … and refreshing breath of music air in today’s music landscape … ????☮

In Canada , MuchMusic was the Canadian equivalent to USA MTV, and in Quebec there was it’s own version of a music channel called ” Musique Plus “… Also on Canadian tv there were video shows called ” Good Rockin Tonight “, ” Video Hits ” and a few others, that the names escape me just now… ????
