Well, in the 80s, Duran2 to me were the pioneers of the more modern day video concept, but then again in retrospect, all those tv shows/film footage , such as Woodstock, etc in the 60s that showed Beatles, Dusty Springfield, Mamas and Papas, Cilla Black, etc in a way, perhaps inadvertently ahead of their time , I would say, might of been the true pioneers to the video concept, they just didn’t know/realize it of what it was called/were creating …until the 80s came along and redefined and/or introduced the concept to what we are all now familiar with… I hope I made me explanation understandable, , that is conveyed my point the way I intended to be said/understood, you may/may not agree with me and that’s fine either way…. ☮

Interesting topic, leaves it wide open, as of now anything is possible…. though I do hope human creativity is still an integral part still in future, A.I. just can’t perfect humanness no matter how close it can try …. Every century/generation/decade always sprouts new innovative ideas, etc… Only the future will hold the answer but I for one, believe it’s vital to maintain the human component /capacity, and/or at least Choose to do so, to continue… that’s my 2 cents worth….☮

Yknow…what matters to me is the song being sung, regardless of the gender of lyrics… and I do agree that original lyrics should stand but hey if its sung really awesome with lyric change and it works, why not…. it’s ok to get quirky once in awhile….????????

Member01/10/2021 at 16:33 in reply to: Washboard, Teabox and other unusual instrumentsI liked the STOMP stuff using all sorts of garbage containers, etc to make music…. I do enjoy unique instruments to see being played, sounds they make, the weirder the inventive instrument, the more I’m intrigued, fascinated….????

Jung, the Beavertail…lol… Though, I can no longer enjoy those because of my nut allergies, as tgey use nuts/Nutella spread on the premises of the Beavertail kiosks, when I previously could enjoy them (pre nut allergy), my fave was cinbamon/lemon juice/brown sugar… A Beavertail for those that aren’t familiar with, is a flat, deep fried doughnut like pastry to which you can add your fave toppings to enjoy, and it does resemble a Beavertail…lol… Um, Tourtiere Pie in Quebec, tgere are some Canucker cuisine out there, it’s just mixed in with all other cultural cuisine out there that’s available…????????????

Hi Bill, Great Poll idea…. and I’m going with “Club 27″ as opener to get everyone full on #MLTBuzzLuvGroovified and the set list to be varied with mix of slow/fast songs of both originals and covers… Maybe even surprise all of us by performing something none of were expecting but received with utmost standing ovation and I think ” Still A Friend of Mine ” would make for the perfect closing song, to mellow us all out after an exhilarating concert experience, to which I would love to have them to an MLT Club Meet n Greet… ah, one can dream….This is my dream….????✌

Hi Roger, like Jung, I live in Canada but at the opposite end towards the East Coast ( in the province of Ontario), and because of the Covid situation, I too experienced delays from both directions regarding parcels, etc. …that is sending outside Canada and stuff coming from UK, etc.
A Canada Post outlet worker had told me at the time that all International Parcels being sent outside or coming to Canada were held in ” quarantine” for so many number of days before they were /are released to be delivered.

Thankyou Rudi for letting us know, I thought maybe it was my Android tablet/phone that were the issues of it, glad they let you know that they fixed it.

Member25/09/2021 at 15:53 in reply to: John Sebastian and Arlen Roth Explore the Spoonful SongbookI had recalled awhile back ago that the mentioning MLT were doing backing vocals on John’s CD project,(either it was an MLT interview or in a posting they made)this one…. will be ordering it eventually, but in the meantime, I’ve added it to my Spotify playlist to enjoy… Loved MLT’s added harmonies, it just works and all complimentary with each other, intertwines awesomely. Yes, it’s highly recommended that one adds to their Spotify Playlist or whichever streaming yiu use and buy the CD.. MLT can add their #MLTBuzzLuvGroovified Midas Magic touch to any musical project with others, on their own….Barone, Bonafide ????☮
