Yes Bill, in fact all 3 MLT Do Beatles collections are stellar in their own right and a pleasure to crank daily in one’s ear… I, too, am partial to ” The Night Before ” and sing alongside them enjoying doing so with my headphones on….. Yeppers on that !!

To me, I see it from a poetical aspect, it all depends on what inspires you, if it’s meant to be 2-3 mins or more, and having said that I feel a song is an extended poem that has added verses of music instrumentaion and vocals to intertwine to add the creative artistic flow. Every fibre of music through the centuries, are ongoing poems that offer to invoke emotions, heal, etc not one piece of music is exactly alike but yet can come together like jigsaw puzzle, that truly defines itself. Each song, piece of music creation is unique onto its own merrits and is timed according to its rightful place it it is ought and meant to be for. It’s all individual but yet collectively it becomes complimentary…?

I forgot to add these 2 to my must play at Xmas… Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer and Merry Bloody Xmas by the Irish Rovers, it’s definitely not Xmas for me unless those 2 songs are played…!!!!

My sentiments exactly JP, that old vintage Era sound from 20s-40s…

Jim, I prefer the older Taylor Swift stuff, when she was more country, am not so keen on her pop/current stuff, as I’ve said before, current music scene landscape for me, with rare exceptions of a few, just not my cup of tea , it’s MLT, Glass Tiger, April Verch, Amy Winehouse, a rare few others and stuff from before 2000 — some 90s, 80s,70, but I dig 50s/60s in particular, jazz, , folk and even further back, 20s-40s, I like some of those time era songs… I grew up in a house of mostly country, bluegrass,Elvis, big band, gospel, Beatles, Eric Clapton, The Who, Led Zep, etc, Eagles, etc… Generally I like a variety from different genres but certain genres , am not keen on as much or not at all: classical, hiphop/rap/punk/ alternative rock/pop, some R& B….etc I either like from get go or don’t…
Everyone has their own music tastes….

There’s a Bell song from the 2nd movie remake of Hairspray movie ( original movie had Ricki Lake, Sonny Bono, Debbie Harry in it)
-
David Herrick and I seem to channel in on similar music tastes…. Bobby Vinton was one of late Mom’s faves and because his songs were played in the house, I grew up liking his stuff… especially his ” Roses Are Red” song…lol??

It got my attention from the get go, that ol vintage era feel to it, right up my alley, I could visualize a video idea for it in my head as I listened to it, definitely a gem of its own merrits?
