Indeed Bill, ever since I got the CD when it came out, it was then decided upon that I’d forever would play it on Xmas Day but it’s okay to play it all year round too.

I echo David’s observations, we both experienced same issues. and Thanks Rudi for looking into it, hoping you can find a solution or it will work itself out…

Yes, Joe, ” Cloud Nine” it is, …lol…maybe around the eyes that Papa Rudi slightly ressembles Henry Winkler….
I enjoy listening to the solo works of Alan Frew, Al (Alan) Connelly and Sam Reid ( Sam moreso for his instrumental nature series releases- Sanctuary series), these guys are from Canadian band Glass Tiger whom are my fave Canadian rock band and whom I ‘ve met. -
I’m partial to George’s ” I’ve Got My Mind Set On You” and the Cloud song ( exact title escapes me just now) from the cassette tape I have of his in which these songs come from… okay, I’m off to bed just after 1:30 AM …Gnite Eh!?

It’s nice sounding true, but not rousing enough to move me, lol….give me bagpipes or organ, celtic instruments, fiddle, guitar, piano, drums, in a church setting, then will I be moved, this would put me to sleep…lol..it would… it has lullaby effect, I’d prefer fast paced, lively upbeat… I prefer fiddle over violin. , just my thoughts on this. I can see how you would appreciate it, has that classical nuance to it.

Bad Company, ” Seagull”, not ringing any familiarity bells with me at all, sorry to say unless I heard of song just never knew who sang it nor am I familiar with this book you’re referring to as well… I was never an avid reader when younger, still not although I’m a bit better, I enjoy Outlander book series by Diana Gabaldon , Ottawa Local author Mary Cook and her stories, etc… as for school , books read in English that I can recall though not all, ” Lord of the Flies”, “MacBeth”, ” Who Has Seen The Wind”…

How about a Dog version, !?..As you know, I’m a Dog Gal…wish I could have a dog, but can’t afford all that goes into it, I’m allergic to some dog breeds as I’m of with cats but I definitely cannot be near any cats, the allergy is far worse with cats. Besides I’ve always had a strong affinity towards dogs over cats.

Interesting topic choice there Jung…it is always fascinating hearing other musician’s takes on other musicians…

Well, I can’t just pick any specifically, so I’m going to say All Equally in their own creative and appearance sake but….I will for this posting sake only …have chosen what creatively stands out and catches my eyes….Duo Sessions, Orange.

You’re welcome, glad to be of help…glad I offered public library option and they had in available for you….just remember to bring it back before due date or on or you will be dinged for overdue fees… ( I found out the expensive way )

” Eye of the Tiger” from Rocky movies and a horse song by Alannah Myles ( the title escapes me now)
-
I like to say in some cases, the covers Equal to the originals but yes, most do tend to be better arranged/done more effectively than originals… I love both Mamas & Papas and MLT’s versions of ” California Dreaming”, Equally, at least in my eyes that’s my view…there’s no right or wrong here, it’s all based on one’s own preferences, to each their own….you can respectfully agree/ disagree or be neutral….lol

Bill…I’m sort of like that way too, describing distance in time frame of hours rather than miles/kms…. I also have no sense of direction so I’m one for going by landmarks …lol

That’s too bad David, I guess as Jung stated, it varies from country to country as to what’s made available/allowed and not…. sometimes these movies are shown on TV and on cable TV….. The local CTV Ottawa channel on Saturday/Sunday for quite some time now showing movies from 1930s to 2000, today it was Grownups with Adam Sandler, etc…. I believe that’s how I saw Mr Holland’s Opus …it was on TV when I saw it or at least partially of it…
Also perhaps your local public library branch has it available to borrow, our public library branches here do that.
