Lol…this gal is getting lost, confused in/with all these postings of this Eric dude, etc….. I stick out like a sore thumb, , I have no idea who this guy is…lol…. But am enjoying the commaderie you all are having on this topic, and knowing who he is… lol… I’m only about 15-20yrs behind you in age, so I know somewhat what you’re speaking of, just not the whole picture, I wasn’t quite born yesterday, but feel out of sorts in that you all know but I don’t…lol…oh well, makes for great learning, that setback won’t stop me none…???

I grew up mostly with country /rock /pop/bluegrass /blues /southern rock/bigband/gospel in our house, thus my appreciation for these genres, especially, /rock/country genres, with likes of Patsy, Loretta, Hank Williams, Hank Snow, Wolf Carter, Johnny Cash, George Jones, etc… ????

I learned of The Who courtesy through my 2nd oldest bro… Don’t ask me which Albums he has, probably all of them… Lol… He and I share similar music tastes, this exposing me to some awesome stuff, he even digs MLT?????

Yes, Howard is correct, in my disdain for Neil Young’s twangy nasal
singing voice, similar to Dylan’s, both their singing voices I’m sensitive to, it annoys my hearing, and nasal twang drives me bonkers…. Both however are clever songwriters, that I will give them credit for….and of course I love The Guess Who, BTO it’s what I was exposed to growing up in my house, in Thanks to my 2 older bros with their album /tape collections…. one bro does like Neil…lol, the one bro I share similar music tastes with except on that…I enjoy The Tragically Hip stuff….????

Yes David, my bad, I had forgotten but for whatever reason, I keep having it in my head it’s the Dylan song they do… Thankyou for the reminder of how dumb I can be sometimes when I’m not thinking with clear head…appreciate the correction? Now I’m hopefully embarassed enough now to remember…lol

As a huge Cass Elliot fan that I am, I love her collaboration with Dave Mason, she did sing a song on CSN album, love all her solo stuff, she and Michelle also sang backup on Denny ‘s 2nd solo album, which sadly was Cass’ final recording efforts before her passing, and she also wrote the liner notes on that album…btw, Denny Doherty was a Canadian…. ?????

Loved Traveling Wilburys, and yes, I loved Peter/Paul/Mary’s take on Bliwin In The Wind, but am also partial to Ian and Sylvia Tyson’s version too…?

Yes…Agreed…Yoko Ono stick best to your creative artworks, speaking, Not Your Singing…lol… Bob Dylan’s voice in this case I ‘d be willing to appreciate to tolerate….as for Yoko…Nooooooooo…..go far away …from a mic, recording studio….lol… ??

Lol…David, and he stills sounds nasally to me, though not quite as prominent, but it’s still there…so, it’s my firm and standing opinion by me that you or no other can ever convince me, to change my thought on Bob’s nasal singing voice, I love his songwriting, just not the voice, he does play a mean harmonica though, that of which I love…just not the singing…lol, we’ll just leave it at that….?

Everytime I play this song, gotta sing along and do my air drumming/guitaring….just have to…I do better at airplaying than I would to do it for real at…lol…. #AirplayingMusicalGal ???

Though, I like Dylan’s songs, songwriting, it’s his nasally singing voice, drives me cringeworthy, like hands across chalkboard…lol…I can’t listen to him singing, I just can’t, I’m sensitive to certain things, his voice is one of those things, can’t tolerate , so I appreciate and am thankful that MLT have covered his stuff, so I can pleasantly enjoy his songs through someone else’s voice…sorry to say that of Dylan but it’s true…certain smells, voices, etc have effect on me, and unfortunately his nasal singing , is one of those things, it irritates me that I cannot listen, even for 5 mins, but if he does a duet, or sings along with others, it’s somewhat more tolerable for me…lol

Hey Joe, Morning from Ottawa, I checked out BlackBerry Smoke, not bad…definitely has that 70s southern rock stuff essence vibe going on, and I like it..reminds of the stuff my oldest brother enjoyed listening to growing up, , my 2 nd oldest brother and I , our music tastes are more similar, I do share some similar music tastes with oldest bro but to a point, whereas my 2nd oldest bro I, we’re more of the Beatles, Stones, Blues, etc kinda stuff ….my 2nd oldest bro does think of MLT stuff as being cool, which means he’s impressed…. I thank him for getting me into Jeff Healey, Lucas Haneman, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Eric Clapton, BB King, etc….??
