  • I can’t agree more. It was an incredibly pleasant surprise to see thin in my YouTube feed tonight. Such an amazing—dare I say “ groovy”—take on the new Beatles song. So good.

I’ve watched and listened several times already. It’s great, especially when coupled with the video. So glad they were able to give us one last song.

  • No, but not for lack of trying (sort of.) My wife booked a Beatles tour for my 64th birthday. This past June, we spent three days in London and four in Liverpool seeing some truly amazing sites and people. During our free time in Liverpool, I was constantly on the lookout for anyone from the MLT team. Alas, it didn’t work out. Maybe I spent a little too much time in the clubs on Mathew street…

There are only a few MLT Fans here in the Phoenix area, but I’ll keep looking here as well.

Happy to hear you were able to get back on the bike the next day and get on with it! I’ve had a few bicycle mishaps (road and mountain) myself. You’re right, it takes longer and longer to bounce back as the years go by.

Jacki: Funny you should mention using seemingly random objects as drums. I worked at a restaurant with a guy who practiced his drumming on a kit made from soup pots, bowls, plates, glasses, whatever. (It was a 24/7 diner type restaurant, so he could get away with it at 3am!) It sounded great but he was really working on his rhythm and techniques. He went on to drum for a local group in Sacramento, and eventually ended up in the band “Smash Mouth” for a while. What you use to practice does matter as much as having a passion for it and putting in the work.

Now that Songbird has gone public, has anyone seen it available on the streaming services? I use Spotify and Apple Music and can’t find it there yet.

Thanks for the tips! I’m particularly interested in visiting the tower (seems like a great place to see the city!), and need to look into the stadium tour.
