I, too love the varied percussion instruments Mona incorporates in different vids! Wether drums, the aforementioned chair back, the awesome washboard, tambourine, shakers, etc. My absolute fave, tho is the “shipping crate” slapping in the “Paint it Black” vid. Couldn’t fit more perfectly! Also adore her one-woman-three-piece-band routine when Lisa turns her loose in the “Mercedes Benz” vid! Instant classic!

Thank you, Brian for starting this all off. I’ve only been a member since November, but this is easily the best string of replies I’ve seen. Truly restores faith in the human race that often wanes in these odd times.

Unsweetened, sweet tea, raspberry tea, as long as it’s not overpowering. Each in its own time, depending on mood, and if I have a migraine or not at the time!

I couldn’t agree more with all each person has posted here. Wonderful question to start it off, and great responses! This club is an incredible community of diverse people brought together initially by a love of great music, and brought closer by love and respect, both witnessed and returned. Of course we all have Mona, Lisa, Papa Rudi and Michaela to thank for it! Blessings to each and every one of you!

No, dear. Not stupid. Brave , adventurous, highly admirable, maybe, but not stupid. I and I’m sure many others LOVE the spirit you two show in all facets of your lives you so generously share with us!

As a follow-up, I don’t believe any of you Wagners are capable of doing anything”stupid”, unless you do so on purpose just to see how it feels for the rest of us! I’ve never known, or even heard of, any more intelligent or well-grounded high school drop-outs ever! What probably isn’t a good idea for almost anybody was obviously the perfect life direction for you. Especially when you consider how much joy you bring to so many people thru your music, etc.

I tip my hat to you, Michael! That was a great question!

Well, I didn’t have any preconceived thought as to what the coins might symbolize, and honestly, they’re foreign to me…get it…foreign coins…’cuz I’m American…oh, never mind. Just checking to see if there was a hidden message , or “Easter egg” as they’re sometimes called, for us to discover. I’ll just consider it “John’s random pocket change”. Thank you so much for taking the time to investigate and answer! Virtual hugs to you all!

???????? Absolutely, Tom! I don’t need a new set of tires for quite a while, yet!

Truly an outstanding and fitting song to wrap up their Cavern run with! Wouldn’t surprise me if maintenance had to refit a few pieces of the ceiling after!
-
Sorry, Ron, but last I checked, neither you, nor anyone else other than a pair of twin sisters, has gifted sufficient joy into my sorry life to warrant such an offer. Nice try, tho! ????

Very well expressed, Jung! I, too adore Lisa’s guitar run between verses. The horns are great in the studio version, but if completely honest, I greatly prefer the duo version of this song in particular, and others, too.
-
A desire I wholeheartedly share with you, Jung! I don’t keep a bucket list, but a live (or better yet, several) MLT concert would head it! Great question and response!

A question I’ve considered too, Tom. I sometimes try to imagine how some of the songs from 2007s MonaLisa and Band cds would sound with their fully developed voices. Der Kommissar, Tears in Heaven, Punkrocker, Proud Mary, Smoke on the Water, to name a few. I completely understand the desire to dedicate precious time to new material, but in a perfect but unrealistic world, wouldn’t it be great if they could pause time or clone themselves to please us all? Two of ’em just ain’t enuff!

The dog from “Won’t You Listen Now” came to mind right away, but I admit I had to watch “Best Years” again, ‘cuz I never noticed rover there before!
