Thanks for sharing that Dale. Kent is a wonderful guitarist. Loved the version of one of my favorite songs – “It’s Too Late”. Stumbled across his version of Stevie Wonder’s “Sir Duke” and Michael Jackson’s “Thriller”. Excellent versions of both. Listening now to his cover of Tommy Emmanuel’s “Angelina”.

Ok, I was almost done but can’t leave out two of my favorites that climb the list higher every time I hear them:
“Count on Me” and “Close to You”
And the one that really is in a fight for first place for me is the twins version of “God Only Knows” I just find that one amazing.

Ok, I’m done after this one. Either George Harrison’s or Olivia Newton John’s version of “If Not For You”

I might get stoned (by rocks) if I mention the next one, but 1975 was a great year for me and this song brings back great memories.
“Love Will Keep us Together” by Captain and Tennille
“Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow?” was mentioned above, but the Carol King version is one of the most moving songs I know. The duet with Carol and James Taylor is wonderful also. If I could only have one mellow album or CD “Tapestry” would be near the top after MLT and Beatles.
I mentioned “Unchained Melody” above, but forgot to mention the excellent version Leann Rimes does.
Alison Krauss’s version of “When You Say Nothing at all” is one of my all time favorites.

Great songs that are mentioned.
What comes to my mind are the Troggs mentioned above, I Will by Alison or Paul, most anything by Bob Marley and in the Reggae area, I really like “Can’t Help Falling in Love” by UB40.
Favorite? That’s difficult. Probably “Unchained Melody” by the Righteous Brothers.”

One of my favorite memories was an outdoors summer “Beach Boys” concert at a local ski resort. The line of cars was at least 5 miles long but I was on my Goldwing. I just cruised past them all then found an easy little parking spot very close. Still, there was already a huge crowd and then my friend spotted her friends that had camped out overnight right in the front row. They really put on a wonderful show and I couldn’t have dreamed of a better spot. Summer breeze, stars and some spectacular performers playing fun, exciting music. Loved the Beatles and the Beach Boys.
In 1996 they did one of my favorites “Don’t Worry Baby” with Lorrie Morgan. Such a beautiful blend of all their voices.
The same year they also did “I Can Hear Music” with Kathy Troccoli. So cool.

Get feeling better Thomas. That doesn’t sound like fun. Hope you feel stronger and better every day! My sister just lost a lung to cancer. I can’t imagine how she quit smoking and then picked it up a few months after the surgery. But then my brother has lived pretty healthy and is now losing a ten year battle with cancer.
I’m coming up on 64 in less than a year. Only a couple orthopedic scars from a failed back surgery and a nice zipper scar from extensive heart surgery. I kind of like that scar since it was 100% successful and gave me another 19 yrs and a chance to raise my two youngest boys. Lost track of the stitches in the hundreds from my dirt bike. Forced to slow down after my fourth broken limb and destroyed knees and lower back from skiing.
So, coming up on 64 is very strange. My mind says I’m still in my 20’s and I want to go jump on my motorcycle – then my body screams out that it is about 264 instead of 64. But, attitude means a great deal. A couple years ago I was trying to survive but expecting not to. Now I plan and expect to hit 64 feeling much younger than that and heading upward not downward.
I couldn’t imagine trying to calculate how much the beautiful music and attitudes of Mona and Lisa make a difference. A look at their smiles, a laugh at their jokes, the joy of their voices and skill of their music can change my whole day. They may not be able to walk on water, but their influence sends ripples of joy, happiness and healing throughout the world. Many times I start my day with “Good Day Sunshine” and am always glad I do.
Ok, I’m hooked on MLT, but what better thing to be hooked on? My form of AAA = “Awesome Attitude Addiction.”

Good one Howard. I just was thinking about that book today since there was a comment about a “Seagull” song. I’d forgotten there was music to it. It was one of the first books I can remember that I picked up one day and didn’t even move from my chair until I was done.
I think Jonathan Livingston Seagull would be among my top ten of books I would recommend to someone.
Another came to mind. That would be “Journey to The Center of The Earth” by Rick Wakeman. The original version I first heard has no words but I could visually imagine the dinosaurs fighting, etc.

Thanks JohnnyP! I liked that version of Dr. Pepper. Listening to the whole album now. Quite enjoyable. Noticed another album of theirs that is “Dub Side of the Moon.” A reggae version of Pink Floyd songs. I like it when someone does a good adaptation of a song into another genre. A couple that come to mind are Faith Hill’s version of “Piece of My Heart” and an “XFactor” country version of “Somebody to Love” by Rachel Potter.https://youtu.be/xq0h_0PwnGE?list=PLSWHDM92b5Vps_INPAIgauMXv2DUqVn5b

I don’t think I saw “Three Little Birds” by Bob Marley. I love some of his songs and like the British group UB40

Thinking of another cat possibly and a smaller indoor dog for my son. We’ve looked for a while, but every dog he saw that he wanted turned out to be a scam where people say they moved and will have to ship the dog – and they just keep the fees you pay. I didn’t fall for it, but it discouraged him from looking. Then he planned to go abroad so said he would wait til his return. Now going abroad is kind of messed up so we’re back on the search. Most of the dogs at the pound are pitbulls. I want a dog to be his friend not eat him. Just kidding. 🙂Maybe we’ll end up with a Lola and a Lorraine.

Joseph, we are in a mountainous area of Utah so I assume the Bobcat was just coming down from the hills. I successfully stopped the Bobcat from coming to eat the cat’s food and he stayed away. One day Lucky didn’t come home and we don’t know what happened. Lucky’s luck may have run out 🙁
I’ve never watched Family Guy, I just remember the “Bird” song from when I was a kid.

Jung, it blew my mind a couple months ago when I saw where someone has succeeded creating “Transparent Aluminum” like referenced in the video you posted. There is also a great video out there detailing and interviewing the many, many inventions and inventors inspired by Star Trek.
