I just wasn’t near the computer to post something and it seemed too late to post something the next day. Canada is very dear to me and July 1st brings up lots of emotions and appreciation. I really hope to see more of it someday. Two years in Alberta that I loved and a trip or two to B.C., but haven’t seen the rest. Great people, great country, eh. Some of my dearest friends are from Canada and at least a couple more I’d like to meet someday.

Thanks Rudi. I appreciate the info and explanation.

Tried switching to PayPal with the same result. Here is the message.

You’re welcome. Just ran into another issue.
Had searched for a way to change my account from monthly to annual and couldn’t find it. (might be a good option to add). So, I just decided to try and do it through a donation and got the following error message twice.
Error: No such PaymentMethod: pm_1GzwbTLyXkL8xusLQT6pt7tK; OAuth key or Stripe-Account header was used but API request was provided with a platform-owned payment method ID. Please ensure that the provided payment method matches the specified account.
Doesn’t make sense. Card is good and I just used it for downloads and another CD. Might possibly be because previous donations were by PayPal? Which is fine. I’ll go back and try PayPal a little later. I had originally set it up by PayPal but then changed the payment method to credit card. Possibly something to do with that.

So cool. I loved his manner and graciousness with James Corden in their “Carpool Karaoke episode. One of my dreams is to get backstage passes for Mona and Lisa to meet him after a concert. I think their reactions would be so amazing.

OH…. Steve Miller Band. Saw them live some time ago and it was one of my favorite concerts. Took my son, who thought my music was lame. He reluctantly went and then rocked out the whole time. “They did that song?” was what he said all throughout the concert – over and over and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Kind of makes up for missing two different Rolling Stones concerts for his wrestling matches. MP3’s are wonderful, but there are some of my old 8-tracks tapes that I can’t duplicate. Some songs just never made it to digital and some great performances weren’t filmed. One of the ones I really had to search hard for was “The James Gang”. It was also in my top ten of concerts I went to. “Uriah Heap” is another that is near impossible to find. Not sure I would listen that much these days, but in my rebellious teens I liked to blast that out my windows so other cars could enjoy it 🙂 Can’t find many of my old “Foghat” songs off the “Rock and Roll” album. But, the cool thing about the internet is it just grows and grows. Nowadays I don’t have to be dismissed and mocked by some young kid when going into a record store and asking if they have “Sly and The Family Stone”.

The Bee Gees “Spicks and Specks” wasn’t familiar, but I love it. Amazing Robin and Maurice were 16 at the time. Kind of reminds me of some other incredibly talented 16 yr old twins I know of. Probably a reason their harmonies are so good. After I listened to Spicks and Specks, it rolled into “I’ve Got to Get a Message to You”. What a stirring, soulful song. What a voice. Gotta add a couple more songs to my playlist. Now it rolled to “How Deep is Your Love” – ok, gotta add that too. Now it’s “Jive talkin” and “Stayin Alive”. I have to admit it, but there’s some disco I still like and brings back great memories.
Having so many songs on my computer sounds like I’m an avid collector. I only have about a hundred or so CD’s, but a friend of mine brought all these down to me a few months before his death. Something great to remember my best friend by.

Jung, I mostly listen to songs off my computer, iPhone and hard drive in the car. On the computer – about 15,000 from the 50’s to present. Many hundreds in the car, but of course mostly MLT on the playlists.
A couple hundred on the phone. Beatles, Beach Boys, Grand Funk, Alison Krauss, BeeGees, Chicago, The Association, Steppenwolf, Guess Who, BTO, Alabama, Herman’s Hermits, John Michael Montgomery, Josh Groban, John Barrowman, Creedence, Bread, Blessed Union of Souls, Rare Earth, Olivia Newton John, Sam Smith, Jamie Grace, The Animals, Hayley Westenra, George Strait, George Harrison, Dan Fogelberg, Ray Parker Jr., Alyona, B.J. Thomas, Sly and the Family Stone, Andrew Lloyd Weber, Starlight Express, Chad and Jeremy, Joan Jett, Janis Joplin, Lauren Daigle, Bon Jovi, Led Zepplin, Enya, The Traveling Wilburys, Tori Amos and a bunch of others that I only have one song or are my son’s music like Imagine Dragons, Avicci, One Republic, etc.
Far more information than you might have wanted.
About the funny videos mentioned by David and others. I love watching HISHE with my sons. It’s an animated show of “How It Should Have Ended” for popular movies. Points out hilarious plot points, endings, characters etc.

Happy Birthday! I hope it is a wonderful one. You deserve it. We appreciate you so much and are so glad you share your incredible skills and wonderful personalities with the world. You make a big difference.

Welcome Don. I have a son and grandkids down in Arizona. Great place, great people. Wonderful that you made your way here. I’ve been here a little over a year and each new song or video amazes me. It was “Drive your Car” that hooked me like a fish. I thought “Bus Stop” was cool too. Love their humor as much as their skills. Glad to have you here.

Member30/05/2020 at 04:07 in reply to: Rock died in 2010, MLT please save rock and roll! No, he mis-interpreted things. My computer died in about 2010, but I was able to restore 14,685 songs – mostly rock. So, Rock and Roll never really died.
Wouldn’t matter anyway because Rock was reborn better than ever in 1994. The future of Rock and Roll is very bright. Getting Better every day.

Welcome Steve. I was just a bit of a Beatles fan, but discovering Mona and Lisa’s music one day made an amazing difference. I’m probably a hundred times the Beatles fan I was and I appreciate their skills, creativity, innovation, etc. But, in all honesty I would take any cover of a Beatles or other artist’s song done by MLT over the original. I only knew the Beatles from what played on the radio and missed so many of their incredible songs. I am so glad MLT brought them back to life (at least to me) and sprinkled – no poured – their magic on them.
Like Jung, I had kind of fallen away from music. Most of the current music and the last few decades hasn’t been interesting or even repelling to me. Now beautiful music is a daily part of my life and it is so much better for it.
Again, welcome!

Welcome to the club Robert! I agree with your sentiments on these amazing artists. Their music is fabulous. I found the just over a year ago and am so glad I did. Wish I had known of them earlier to follow more of their joyous journey.
The fan art was mentioned, but make sure you find your way to Mona and Lisa’s artwork. Amazingly skillful and beautiful. Both could also have a career in art. One person made a comment that I think applies “So much talent couldn’t fit in one person – so there had to be twins.”

I’m with you on the RAP music. I just think it is missing a “C” at the beginning. It’s not appealing and to me it isn’t talent or music. Gangster poetry isn’t my Genre. I feel bad a little because I love music but to me RAP isn’t.
Nothing else I can think of I have strong feelings about. Don’t love much of the Heavy Metal, though I like Uriah Heap, Foghat, Led Zepplin and other earlier bands that might fit in that category. As a teen in the 70’s I liked loud, obnoxious, invigorating, etc. Now I like relaxing, beautiful, harmonious and TALENTED music of the MLT variety.
Used to hate country. Then Faith Hill did “Piece of My Heart” and Shania came along, Reba, and many more. Still cringe at much of the Willy Nelson type “Dog stole my car” ballads. But I like much of Blake Shelton, Toby Keith, Keith Urban, Garth Brooks, Alabama, and others. A voice like Scotty McCreery amazes me. Alison Krauss is amazing and special as my nephew played her for me as I was yapping about Celine Dione. Last time I saw him alive. He was a first responder who died of a heart attack after spending the night saving a girl from a drug overdose and helping others. John Michael Montgomery is special in that I used to sing “I Can Love You Like That” to my wife.
Wasn’t much into Reggae, but learned to love UB40 and then Bob Marley. How can you not?
Don’t tell my son, but EDM doesn’t inspire me. But I fake it 🙂 The only way I can get them to listen to some of my music is to listen to theirs. Occasionally a group like One Republic or some of Imagine Dragons makes my playlist. My son was taking a music appreciation class a few months ago and I was able to play him some of the MLT covers like “Wishing You Were Here” as they were songs on his list.
Not too much into classical, but Vivaldi Four Seasons is a favorite. My playlist on YouTube is almost a thousand songs, so my interests are wider than I think they are at times. There of course is NO RAP. Only RAP I would listen to voluntarily would be the “Superbowl Shuffle” by the Chicago Bears.
