Nice find, Jung. This sounds fantastic. Paul always looks so jolly.
“Roll Over Beethoven” is awesome.
John’s scream during “You Can’t Do That” is almost as good as Mona’s.
I still like MLT’s cover of “Til There Was You” better than the boys’.
This is kool. Nice one Jung.

I didn’t discover AC/DC until Back In Black 1980. I was 15 that year. My older friends were just getting their drivers licenses, so along with that came the odyssey of car stereos, cassette decks, power boosters, equalizers, and if you didn’t have Jensen speakers you didn’t have speakers. We were so competitive about it. I remember endless debates of TDK vs Maxell. I always though TDK tapes had more hiss.
Back then, the kool kids would buy the vinyl, record it on a cassette, and then never play the vinyl to keep it scratch free. Some would tweak the crap out of the EQ and claimed it sounded better than the band’s mix. It didn’t , but they were older so just nod and smile and say “Kool man!”
It sounds silly now. But with that came a lot of great music being played at the correct volume and EQ out of the trunk of our cars. When I go nostalgic I can’t help imagine what 17 year old me would have thought of an iPhone.
“All your music is in here? And it transmits to your stereo via your teeth? What if you have braces? And you can ask it anything, like Captain Kirk? And you can call people with it?”
“Ya, but my parents can track me with it.”
“Throw that away!”
it’s funny, Jung. Sometimes when you do threads like this, I end up on a deep dive of bands I haven’t listened to in a while. Here’s a fine example how awesome AC/DC was. Bag pipes? and it works?!

Hi Tim,
Welcome to one of the koolest clubs on the web. You are just in time. MLT is working on a new album of originals. As a member of the club, we sometimes get to hear new stuff before it is released. Have you checked out Janitor Joe? Their latest original. It’s awesome.
This site is a lot like Disney World. It’s tons of fun, but you can’t see it all in one day. I have been here for a year now, and I am still finding new stuff.
I live in upstate New York in the Catskills, the home of Rip Van Winkle. We have some nice ski areas around here, too.
Looking forward to your posts and stay groovy!

Let’s not forget,
Wish You Were Here is the ninth studio album by the English rock band Pink Floyd, released on 12 September 1975 through Harvest Records and Columbia Records, their first release for the latter. Based on material Pink Floyd composed while performing in Europe, Wish You Were Here was recorded over numerous sessions throughout 1975 at Abbey Road Studios in London.
It’s hard to believe these songs are over forty years old, already.JP -
Jung, I love how “Imagine” follows “Both Sides Now” on the CD. It’s a perfect placement. I hope people are still enjoying “Imagine” hundreds of years from now. I feel it is one of the most inspirational songs of our lifetime.
Two guitars , two voices, perfect. They truly captured the emotion of this song. To credit the songwriter and the performance – Musical genius.

I was listening to ORANGE on my way home tonight. It was on shuffle, which can create some interesting playlists. Close To You was last. I love this timeless classic. A lot of us have commented about memories this song brings up while reflecting on the past. These old souls are writing some beautiful songs.
I love silly love songs. I love the bass on this version. I have a vinyl LP with the Broad Street version and NonMore Lonely Nights, one of my favorites.
If you like NoMore Lonely Nights, Allison Krause did a great cover of it.

Jacki, I think we are outnumbered? This is great, David. Thanks for keeping score.
I wonder which one I should wish, I mean root for? ????JP

“Without your space helmet, Dave? You’re going to find that rather difficult.” I can never resist the HAL quotes when there is a Dave in the house.
Please continue with your analysis. I am looking forward to watching how “You Really Got Me” does.
Jacki, I may be in my fifties, but I listen like a kid. I am not sure if utube classifies viewers by age.
These numbers get crazy when you start breaking them down. When I actually try to picture a MILLION views of one video, it’s breathtaking. Clickity-click-click a million times. Like that picture Jung posted, it seems endless. Then they get FIVE million views, incredible! That is a big audience.Did I just age myself by referencing a mouse?

Hi Melchior. You Can’t Do That is awesome. Welcome. There is a lot to see here. I always like to suggest the skydiving video in the out and about section. These two are fearless. The soundtrack for it is really kool, too.
This comment under You Can’t Do That sums up MLT’s feelings for their fans.
“We can still recall the overwhelming feeling of support and appreciation we felt at the end of that gig. Thank you to those who made that and all the other nights there so much fun.”Have fun exploring

This is a great shot of the moon man
“There is no dark side in the moon, really. Matter of fact, it’s all dark. The only thing that makes it look light is the sun.”
