  • Ya, as I flipped the MLT Calendar from April to May, I could not help from at least humming “June”.
Just last night my wife and son were discussing a bunch of crap that’s been going on and how the crap is rolling into May. So, I instinctively began to sing under my breath,”Oh June, please come and take the rain away…”. They actually shook their heads and told me to stop acting strange.

June is a very catchy tune and has very clever phrasing. I think that since we already know the twelve months, our mind expects the song should have a beginning, middle, and end. However, the beginning and end are in the middle here. Does this make sense, or do I need another cup of coffee?

As we are carried through each month, the listener can make a personal connection to that month, or anticipate the next month. Jung, I am glad this song brings you a sense of hope. Good times are always right around the corner. The video is very peaceful, too. I love the part with Mona surrounded by a sea of yellow. Bill, I agree with you on the Till There Was You vibe, nice. Thomas, do they make airtight climate controlled frames?

I saw a car on the way home that would be perfect for Jacki. I can see her driving this. I followed this car the other day. It pulled into a Stewart’s Shop, probably for an Orange soda.

  • Hey Lynn,
Thanks for compiling this data. You are our unofficial score keeper, and it is very much appreciated.
I consider every million views represents at least a million smiles. Congratulations MLT!

So, I am off to watch a few videos a few thousand times.

    Mona,

I think it is very endearing how you credit your parents for much of your success. One of the greatest joys in my life has been watching my sons grow into fine young men. Each and every one of their accomplishments a reason to celebrate. I think that is a big part of your parent’s smile.

As for falling on your face, be careful. Save that skateboard for another day. ????

Sorry to hear of Rusty’s passing. He gave us some beautiful songs
Crazy Love is one of the classics that we’ll be listening to forever.
    I love the lyrics

It’s easy to forget how much work and time goes into the finished product. These raw versions sometimes reveal alternate lyrics which can be very interesting, too. I like these videos of the Beatles just sitting around “rehearsing”. It makes them a little more human.

Jung, I have thought the same thing about MLT’s neighbors. I just hope the neighbors know how lucky they are living next to these musical genius’s. I would put signs in my windows facing their studio that read,”Crank it up, please?”

I have been listening to side one on my way home from work and it seems like the ride is getting shorter.
At times, I forget this is a four piece band. Their originals stand up with the covers. When We’re Together fits perfectly here. Together we’re just fine.

Nice one, Jung. You picked a lot of my favorites. This is a good sample of what MLT is capable of.
Didn’t Mona say they only cover songs that they really like?
We are lucky. They really like some great ones.
Their diverse range of styles makes it difficult to guess what they are going to do next. I can not wait to see what’s next.

I love the look on Mona’s face in the Sugar Man screen.

Good one, Jung. The Mr Soft solo is amazing. I have to go watch it again. I can’t watch it without smiling. Lisa’s smile is so contagious.

When you mentioned Uke, my first thought was I Don’t Know Birds Tha Well. Great minds…

My favorite for Mona’s blues harp is Both Sides Now. She is so subtle in some parts floating around Lisa’s voice. Of course, I can never discount The Best Years of Our Lives, pun intended. ????

Nice one Jung. Walking in the Air is perfect for a fast ride.

Although, Bill’s choice of the live album works, too. “Baby, you can drive my car.”
