    Hey Diana,

That concert is totally awesome. One standout track for me would be Wonderful Tonight. It is my favorite Clapton song and they, again, made it their own. It’s fun looking around here.
I call it a Rock & Roll dream in real time.

Rudi and Michaela are the koolest parents in the world. Oh, and have you seen the skydiving video in the Out & About section.? It’s way kool. The soundtrack is perfect. Big screen, volume eleven, replay.

When someone mentions the eighties, doesn’t it seem like it was just a little while ago?

Why, why says the junk in the yard. Does the junk know it’s true value and wonder why the shop wants to sell, sell?

I am not very familiar with this song, so I am listening to this Duo Session to get more familiar with it. Another beautiful performance. These two are talented beyond belief. Mona’s bass is very smooth. She looks like she is having a lot of fun. Well, they both do.

This song reminds me of the little things in life that we each value as treasures. I have some items from my childhood that I have held onto. Years ago, when my wife and I were doing our spring cleaning, she suggested some of these items could be tossed. I began picking up each one and telling her it’s meaning, and she understood why I valued them.
(I also pointed out that her “junk” pile was overpowering mine)

Thanks, Alan Wood. l liked the excerpt of Paul’s memory of writing this song. I love how he describes his thought process. “Certain words either make colours in your head or bring up a feeling.”

Jung, that’s a pretty sharp looking watch. Imagine the stories it could tell.
I wonder if it’s first owner ever wondered if it would still be working one hundred years later. That’s incredible.

I hear ya, Jung. The first time I played this I was so impressed, I had to replay it a couple times right away. Lisa puts just the right emotion in her voice here, well she always does, but I like the soulful tone here. Mona’s playing shows how versatile she is. Groovy pop songs, rock, ballads, she can play it all.

I remember when I first started listening to MLT, I was having trouble distinguishing who was singing. Nowadays I love the subtle differences of their voices. Mona has quite a range to her singing. She can sing sweet high harmonies, or raspy rock like Club 27. She sounds so kool here.

As for Lisa’s bass, holy crap, it’s amazing. How do they play like that and sing so well never missing a beat? I am sure their answer would be practice, practice, practice.

Hitchhiker’s Guide is a funny short read. If I remember correctly, it is a trilogy with four books. I read them a gazillion years ago. Like Michael said, “Always carry a towel.”

Fun fact, Douglas Adams was a friend of David Gilmour’s.

I hope I see you all at the Restaurant At The End Of The Universe

Happy Birthday Rudi! March birthdays are the best. Jung, my son, my brother and I all have March birthdays. But then there are some pretty important June birthdays too, I think. My wife’s birthday is in June. Seems like there is one other one,….hmm?

  • I think this is a common thread here. I have also seen utube and Facebook comments of “OMG This is better than the original”.

My wife always says she likes Lola better, because it is easier to understand the lyrics. High five to the recording engineer(s).

It’s one thing for an artist to cover a song and attempt to sound exactly like the original, but when they can modify it to match their style and still convey all of the subtle nuances of the original, bravo. Talk about a run on sentence? For example, when I listen to MLT’s version of She’s Leaving, my mind hears violins where they should be.

No, I do not think it is sacrilege to like a cover better. I think it is about the highest compliment one can bestow on an artist. It must be pretty exciting for the team,”Your version of this song is way better than the Kinks, Beatles, Who”…wow, pretty kool.

85,235 views in how many days?

That is a lot of smiles. For every million views there are millions of smiles, not to mention gazillions of goosebumps.

Have you ever read any Douglas Adams? Spoiler alert – If I remember correctly, the answer to Life the Universe and Everything is forty-two.

    Hi H.
They posted a pic on Twitter and Facebook. Have a look at the Social Media page.
It’s a groovy picture of Rudi and his gifts.
