Member10/12/2020 at 03:03 in reply to: Interesting fact about the Snowman animation (Walking in The Air)Congratulations on your milestone, Jung. And thanks for sharing the info about the movie. Bowie is such a great story teller. His accent is very captivating. He played the Elephant Man on Broadway in the early eighties. I remember seeing it on TV. It’s very good. Unlike the movie, he did not wear prosthetics to disfigure himself. The audience just accepts that his character is disfigured. He did alter his voice and walked with a cane. It’s a very moving performance.
Anyway, back to MLT. Like Jacki, I was not familiar with this song before now. I love it, and I really see what you mean about listening to it in the car. As soon as it begins, I feel the need to accelerate. But I really love the guitars on this. The sweeping rhythm guitar and Lisa’s lead work is just great. I think Lisa’s leads and solos on this have a nice bluesy rock sound to them. Every time I try do pin it down to one influence, like “that sounded like Clapton, no wait that sounds like George, wait that bend sounded like Gilmour… It’s that Lisa sound. These chicks rock.
And while we’re here, what about Dreams? Do not operate heavy machinery or drive at night while listening to this song. Those celestial harmonies are so relaxing, I just want to put the seat back and close my eyes.

As I type, Silent Night is playing. Wondrous.

This is a great picture, Jung. I’m glad you Northerners got your parcels.
The CD’s are kool, eh? Turn the volume down a little, we can hear it down here! Nah, turn it back up to eleven. These chicks rock!

Member26/11/2020 at 00:38 in reply to: Happy USA Thanksgiving to All USA MLT ClubbersThanks, Jackie. We are having a lite day at home tomorrow. No big feast. (but I did pull an apple pie from the freezer yesterday. I should go see if it has thawed yet).
Luckily we have my wife’s parents right across the street. My family lives a couple hours north of here, so we won’t see them in person. We are hoping to travel north at Christmas time.
As odd as this year has been, we still have a lot to be thankful for.
Stay safe and stay groovy!

I agree guys. There is so much offered here, and I don’t think I have seen everything yet? The videos are outstanding. Go look up some old MTV videos. Most were just Hollywood over-produced ego trips. What we thought was new and kool now looks old and cheesy.
The MLT videos are of a much higher quality. Sure, technology is more advanced, but take Nothing Is In Vain for example. This amazing video was created at home for the most part by a small team. Gotta say, the making of videos are the koolest. I would recommend watching the making of before the finished product. I wonder how they decided Mona would get swallowed by the fish. The team has really shown a lot of innovation through the years. The drones add a whole new angle to these productions. I can not wait to see what they come up with next.
The Duo Session videos are amazing, too. They remind me the old MTV Unplugged shows, but better. This team keeps raising the bar.
Back in the day, I had to search high and low to find info on a band’s biography. Here it is all wrapped up in a very user-friendly website.
Super Groovy to say the least. Have I told you? These chicks rock!

Nice one, Lynn,
Thanks for sharing these. I feel like there’s is an unspoken competition brewing. After you announce we are getting close, we all start clicking to hit the milestone. Whomever hits one right on the milestone shall be crowned King For A Day.

Hey Jung, they have springs like that north of here in Saratoga Springs. Saratoga is home to a very famous horse race track and Stewart’s Ice Cream.
The water from the springs is very flavorful. However, they sell Saratoga Water in beautiful blue glass bottles that has a better flavor. It comes in sparkling form and non-sparkling.
Back in the day, tourists would come to Saratoga Springs for the track and for the spring baths. The spring baths were believed to be medicinal.
Looking forward to your announcement that The Cavern has landed.

Life is good.
Thanks for the kool pick! That makes three now. The CD case looks awesome. I love the pictures of your guitars on the discs. The whammy bar looks 3-D, oh ya, wrong glasses. They look really kool. It reminds me of the old school album sleeves.
I think the neighbors need to hear how great you sound. 😉 tomorrow
Now everyone take a close look. This is definitely the koolest copy of Live At the Cavern Club. Just look at those autographs. Perfect.
Thanks ladies,

Hi Charlie, welcome to the club. There are a lot of friendly faces here who share your new found love for the MonaLisa Twins.
I am from upstate New York. I found the twins by clicking on their Duo Session of “Wish You Were Here”. After that I dove feet first into the koolest rabbit hole ever. There is a lot to see and hear.
Have you seen the Skydiving video? These daredevils went Skydiving on their birthday and documented it on video with an amazing soundtrack. If you have not seen it, click Specials and then Out & About.
As I am typing, their cover of “The Best Years of Our Lives” is on the TV. Their vocals are so powerful on this one, it’s got this fresh faced imbecile grinning ear to ear.
I agree with you, “That’s Life” is very clever. Orange is a true masterpiece that demands to be listened too beginning to end.
Have you seen “Bus Stop”? It’s hilarious and Mona shows off some really hip dance moves.

Hey Joe, have you ever played “Seamus” with a dog in the room? It’s fun to watch the dog react to the howling in the song. The same thing will happen during the interlude of “Dogs” off the “Animals” album.
