I think we’d all love to see, even a glimpse of Alone, one of your first original songs.   🙂

I really liked what Robin Gibb said about inspired music, that it doesn’t belong to any one person, but to all the people. It’s like if you create a new invention or discover a scientific breakthrough that can touch people and help make lives and the world better, it is a virtue to reach as many people as you can with it.

  • Hi Howard.  Yes, I think if Brian Wilson had Mona and Lisa singing and playing on Pet Sounds, he would have had possibly 10 number one songs, and he would have not gone down the substance abuse rabbit hole because MLT would have been the inspiration he would have needed.  Maybe Brian might have eclipsed the Beatles and the Rolling Stones (just joking Howard!!!).  I agree, MLT do not ever need to be employed by anyone as they can stand tall on their own incredible talent.  I was listening to their collaboration cover of “If I Needed Someone” with Mike Masse, and while I adore that video and the 3 of them were absolutely spectacular together, a little part of me would love even more to see a full MLT cover of that awesome song with just Mona and Lisa.  There are so many songs I would love to see MLT do, including all the ones you mentioned and many more I can think of, but I look forward to their new original music more than anything else.

I think it’s a great plan Lisa that Team MLT embarked on at the end of 2016 to focus on creating new music and enhancing your online presence. While we all would love to see MLT perform live, which you will do in the future, you can certainly proliferate your music to tens of thousands, hundreds of thousands and millions through online presence and new album releases, compared to performing endlessly in local halls. Your new albums, and online presence etc can potentially reach all corners of the world. Here is a picture of your music being exposed to 1,000,000 people like many of your youtube videos have been viewed 1 million times so far.  While 1 million views might be different from 1 Million people, it’s still 1 Million different experiences of your music on 1 million occasions.  Can you imagine that?  And all indications are it’s growth is accelerating.

Well Lisa, I don’t think I can look at another Pizza the same way as before after reading your brilliant analogy of how you craft your musical layering to making a delicious Pizza.  thumbup

I sometimes enjoy reading your writing, and Mona’s too, as much as listening to your music in the many posts here and your many social media posts. You both have a very special way with expressing your ideas in words that I love. Must be just an extension of your master skills of expression through music.

  • If Mona and Lisa were around in 1966 and Brian Wilson heard their harmonies, he would have fired his band (Carl, Mike, Al, and Bruce) and had MLT do all the songs on Pet Sounds. I never heard any Beach Boys song sound as good as when I heard MLTs God Only Knows. That’s why seeing this particular cover hit the 1,000,000 views mark was especially sweet and dear for me. And congrats MLT for the same milestone for your remarkable Beatles cover “This Boy” hitting 1,000,000.

Thanks so much Jacki, coming from the master poet herself that always means a lot.  🙂

Enjoyed reading your poem a lot too.  So true about dogs.  Corky looked like he was just adorable.  Max was my first dog, and I learned as much about myself as I did of him raising him.  It’s amazing how much you can communicate with animals through just eye contact and facial expressions.

Anyway that poem was my attempt at humor.  I saw this picture of a black bear in a back yard and it gave me a chuckle.  Where I live the neighbourhood is only a couple blocks from the forest so seeing black bears running across the street on an evening stroll is not a too uncommon site.  Maybe an alien who’s never seen a dog might mistake it for a cute cuddly pet.

I have been lusting after one of these Montblanc special edition Beatles pen collections.  What’s a couple thousand dollars for a pen anyways.

Vacation – pen?  Fix roof – pen?  Car insurance  – pen?  Life has been getting in the way so far.

Pen addiction, what addiction??? I just have a few pens lying around, that’s all.

As early as elementary school I remember we all had those BIC Crystals to use, but I hated the idea of throwing it out when the ink ran out. Always liked the idea of having one pen that I would own a long time, so I always went for those refillable clicker ones, although the ones I had were so cheap and flimsy they fell apart or cracked on me before a BIC Crystal would run out of ink.  But I think that is how it started.  Just like the idea of owning a pen you could keep reusing, that would become personal and sentimental over time.

…And that is an awesome collection of MLT mugs you have going.  I agree with you wholeheartedly, you can’t have enough MLT mugs everyone!!!!

But Howard, I think my collection of orange MLT pens might edge out your collection of MLT mugs.  smiley tongue

That effect is awesome Skip.  Kind of reminds me of the imploding into order light bulb at the end of the “Nothing Is In Vain” video.

Did you do that on the full version Photo Shop or Photo Shop Elements.  I use to have Photo Shop Elements, an earlier version, that I lost the use of after I upgraded to a Windows 8 machine.  Microsoft had to rip Windows XP out of my hands on a beautiful machine I had for many years that worked flawlessly.  Anyway I use to do a lot of nice photo editing and effects with Photo Shop Elements.  I should get the latest one.

  • Waterloo Sunset is nice, I like it.  Liked tyou explanation of the meaning of that song.  Will have to pay close attention to the lyrics.  I think MLT may like that song too as I recall seeing it on one of their Facebook postings a little while ago.
