I hope you do take up songwriting again Brad. I think people are meant to create, and if you have that gift to be able to write songs, that’s special, and it would be a shame not to do it again. I struggled to even read music well enough to play piano by sight when I took piano lessons a long time ago, so song writing is way out of my grasp, but I plan to resume my piano lessons. Even bought a new digital piano for when I start. MLT are inspiring indeed!

We’re all glad to have you here. The MLT are a real gem indeed. They rekindled my love for music.

BTW, I’ve been to Idaho. Moscow Idaho to be exact back in the 60s when I was a very little kid and we were living nearby in Pullman WA when my dad was doing his graduate studies at WSU. My parents use to drive into Moscow to enjoy the quaint little town and go to one of the coffee places. I always loved coming along to Moscow Idaho because it meant I could ride the nickle Kiddie Horse ride at the supermarket there. Always remember that! ?

Really enjoyed reading your post. I can’t agree with you more about how special MLT original music is. I listen to Orange on my earphones almost every day to and from work, or else anyone of their other albums.

Just for fun if I was going to choose a majestic animal to serve as a symbol for MLT, it would be the wild Mustang Stallion. Not just because the Mustang is my favorite car that I drove for 26 years, and the fact Mona and Lisa love horses, but because it represents to me everything in my mind that MLT represents in music:

Freedom, individuality, and unbridled creative free spirit that cannot be confined to status quo.

The wild Mustang ornament Ford adorns every Mustang, runs to the left for a reason.
Race horses run around the race track counter-clockwise, so from the stands they always run to the right per the rules of horse racing. The Mustang runs in the opposite direction to the left representing their wild free nature.

Lisa, I think looking at both yours and Mona’s sketches and computer graphics, you would both definitely excel as well in the field of art, or even as glamorous actresses by the way you carry yourselves in your videos and photo shoots like that MG video and photos. But fortunately music is your calling, and the world is so lucky for it.

That’s what makes MLT covers so special, they they make it their own. Not a photocopy of the original, but add tremendous unique value so when you hear the MLT’s interpretation of a song, you get a unique MLT experience, worth listening to. John Lennon and Paul McCartney echoed that exact sentiment in an interview. They’d prefer one of their songs uniquely interpreted instead of a group copying their style.

One of the things that make the Mona Lisa portrait so special is the enigmatic nature of the smile. If you focus on the eyes with the mouth in the periphery you notice a smile, but if you shift focus to the mouth, the smile fades. That is the effect Davinci created that make it special, at least that’s what the experts say who are much smarter than me when it comes to art?. The smile is commonly accepted as a sad smile or a deceptive smile by some. The fake smile theory would fit in the deceptive smile camp. To me it looks like a polite neutral smile so as not to look bored or sad when Leonardo was painting her. ? Lisa’s “Bad Hair Day” portrait drawing is more appealing to me.
