Wow, thanks Lisa! I always love when you and Mona talk about your craft, and any advice and insight you share about your music and playing is extremely valuable to all of us. Some golden nuggets of advice. A lot of your advice here certainly apply for me and my piano aspirations as well.
Warmest of regards, Jung

I’ve come to the realization of misleading lyrics quite often, but too many to be able to cite any specifics. It is usually the melody that catches me onto a song first. Perhaps it’s the classical music part of me as most of it is instrumental, but feelings and imagery I get from it is amazing considering not a word is spoken like in Beethovens Moonlight Sonata or Bachs Goldberg Variations. That is the power of music, it takes you into the state of mind or heart of the composer. In Rock/Pop music when I focus in on the lyrics it is often a revelation enhancing the experience even more. But sometimes it has had the opposite effect. Like reading a novel and your imagination creates a spectacular narrative and image in your mind, but when you see the movie you are disappointed because the scenes don’t quite live up to what you imagined. So lyrics can be powerful when it is poetic I think. That is why the Beatles and MLT music is so special. Lyrics are poetic.

Stephen. That is a grand looking instrument, and definitely worthy of a restoration! Thanks for sharing.

Seeing some of those 80’s videos Howard, I can’t believe the hair and clothing styles that looked so hip then, look so dated now. I’m glad there are very few pictures of me from the 80’s and thank God there were no digital cameras and smart phones back then.
Lisa, the anticipation of the new album is building. There is gonna be a lot of joy and fireworks when the album is released. 🙂

Time and age is a great equalizer isn’t it. Makes you see what really matters in the big picture. As I get older, my old friendships and family become more dear with every passing year for sure.

I like your Dumbo there Jacki and Groovy Thrives!

Lisa, that would be quite upsetting if a stranger came up and took the liberty of touching one of your instruments on stage. Some pretty inconsiderate people sometimes, especially the one who thought they could take pictures with one of your guitars. A good trained backstage guard dog might come in handy 🙂
Mike, your wife’s 1796 violin sounds like quite the precious instrument. That would have been around when Beethoven wrote his 9th Symphony. I’m glad to hear nothing happened to it that evening. That violin is a piece of music history and precious art.

I hear there are bats there. I would be more concerned about flying mice dropping than birds Mike.

I never thought a Ukelele could sound so good until I saw Lisa playing it here. Beach Boys never used a Ukelele on “God Only Knows”, but Lisa did great justice to that song with it.

Love this. What an incredible duo they are!

Hi Jacki, you have an impressive collection of instruments. Is your purple Uke something like this?

Taylor GS mini Travel guitar.
Well Jerry, an MLT signed one is extremely rare, maybe a one of a kind. The ultimate Baby Mine I’d say! 🙂

2006 Fender Telecaster. I hope I got it right Tommy. Cool looking guitar!

The 1870 Estey Pump Organ. What a piece of art!
